2-0 Job done ... can't argue with that either tbf to them .. two strikers score .. midfielder creates/ gets assist for both goals .. defence keeps a clean sheet ! Onwards and upwards
Definitely room for improvement, but great start to the season. 2 goals and should have been more, dominated the game, clean sheet and never looked like conceding.
A good win that, Magennis with a good header to get the 2nd. Honeyman was my MOTM, though Smallwood and Emmanuel were very good also. KLP had a very good game and should have made it 3-0, if his pal McKenzie hadn't blocked his goal bound effort.
He's been very poor - his dives were getting more Elmoesque as the game went on .... he needs to be much better than today.
The drop in standard today was very noticable, if they're a mid table L1 team, we should be finishing a lot higher than mid table. Emmanuel had a v good game, Lewie Coyle got some job on his hands to get in at right back, KLP technically the best player on the pitch and comfortably the best player in our squad with the ball at his feet, seems to have added a yard of pace too, he could piss this league. Docherty and Smallwood, v v good additions in CM, RS did the basics v well and kept us going, Docherty's link up play with KLP and Fleming was class, he's got a yard of pace and not afraid to go at a man either, looks another great addition. Fleming another who had a good game today, looked v comfortable defensively and with ball at his feet. Promising signs today, just gotta keep that standard up.
Genuinely nearly mentioned Elmo when he almost had to dive out of a tangle on the right just to make space to look like he’d been fouled! Amusing, but I agree he didn’t look good today and he should in this league
