I’m kind of sticking up for Parkinson without sticking up. We played well against Hull last week. This exact team. But midweek they were different class. Ok the oppo was rubbish but they were very good. Had we plYed here as we did against Hull, I’d have no problem. There’s no crowd to get on their backs which could be a blessing. I reckon they’d have been booed off there! Half a game into the season
I agree I think they would have anarl, real shame that coz it’s burge who put us on the back foot, rovers will continue to defend, which they have done well tbf

And that's the puzzling thing - its not as if they looked out of their depth in the games. They even offered something different to what we've got and do we really need 2 central midfield players on the bench with 1 who is winding down his career. The 2 of them offered a damn sight more than Gooch has in the games he's played up to now and do we really need 2 same type of striker on the bench? So you can take your pick of any 2 from the 3 I mentioned where they can be on the bench and actually offer something different coming on as a sub. Rant over!
I don't mind Parkinson as much as many but ultimately he failed last season. This season he's bigging up the likes of Neil and diamond and then randomly has neither even on the bench. Do we really need Leadbitter and Scowen? Surely one would be option enough. And as for Scowen, after the way he played midweek he should have been in from the start. Just disappointing, and compounded by the scoreline. As I've said we need to go up this season, we need to go top early and be ruthless. This obviously isn't a must win or owt, but given the next few fixtures he will really want to be turning this around
No reason to get upset. This club has the nack of always letting us down. No surprise that the drudgery continues. Just accept it. Go into the first game of the season full of hope? Wallop! Goal down within minutes!
He has to start bringing on players to replace those off form and make his squad competitive. 10 minutes for Grigg Maguire and Dobson to do more or hook em.
