Glad all those lessons from last season have been learnt and players brought in to make the team stronger from last year - only for some to be left on the bench or not in the team whatsoever!
I was all for keeping PP if/when the takeover occurs but after reading the updates on the match thread today he can just about do one as far as I’m concerned. And the question still remains, “how on earth did it get to this?”
Well, new season, same old ****e. IF this takeover goes through, and by God we have to pray it does! We have to hope the new incumbents get rid of Parkinosaurus and show a bit of vision, flair and ambition with there first appointment otherwise this club is seriously gonna lose a generation and more fans. I mean come on, I don't wanna watch that abomination week in week out but I just can't help myself, do people really think young kids want to go through that week in week out! A bloody blind man can see we don't have one single player who can put there foot on the ball and create something. I honestly don't mind Power but I think it's time to go out and get 2 new CM's and Jesus Christ man, just go get Marcus Maddison as well please! At least the man creates chances and can score a few himself as well.
Parky reminds me of General Melchet from Blackadder in the scene where he’s talking about attacking the German lines using the same tactics that he’s used the last 15 times. He goes on about it’s the last thing they’d expect us to do because we’ve done it before and it failed. Same tactics and formation as the defeat down at Rovers. The bloke is a clown.
We will get an announcement when the window has closed and I believe SD will state that the proposed (read fictitious) takeover has fallen through and further will blame this on the lack of suitable transfers.
Its not fictitious. At least one, if not more, of FPP want to buy us. Whether its near efl stage, at efl stage , or simply them waiting until Donald accepts their valuation I couldn't say, but I know for as near a fact as possible judging by the people who have told me one of the above that there's interest from serious people.
First order of business, sack Parkinson, install someone with a winning mentality and someone who doesn’t bore you to death with his brand of football. The mentality of the club is always to do things half arsed and always aim for second best. We were absolutely dog **** today and I hope the new prospective owners had an eye on it.
What reshuffle? It’s the same slow, non-creative squad that was 75% **** last season, with the same uninspiring, dinosaur in charge of them. But again, there’s a possibility that people CAN support the team whilst at the same time thinking Parkinson is not good enough
It's a virus. It will spread and nothing will stop it. Track and trace is not really working very well anywhere in Europe, mostly down to some people just not wanting to do it properly I'd say, but it is a very difficult thing to set up. Here, more are tested per million than anywhere in the world bar a couple of small Arab states. Confirmed cases are rising, which they were absolutely bound to do, as society is more open and the testing has expanded massively. Despite this, hospitals admissions are very low, and ITU admissions lower still. Recovery from those in ITU is rising. Hospitals are half empty. I know this is not the BBC version of events, but the facts are easily checked. Of course, it may get worse, but the deaths from this are now around than 1% per week. So, unless there is something that governments world wide are not telling us, then the total focus on this is hurting more than it is helping. We will all die, 12,000 of us a week on average. So, unless ITU admissions start rising, then further restrictions, here and everywhere else in the developed world will cause more harm than good. I'd say people should be into the grounds by about early October, if the current rise in cases has not led to a large increase in Hospital cases.
