It’s hugely important. Someone has had to take a hit for this and looks like he’s taken the bullet. Personally think that Masters will survive because he was hand picked by Man U and Liverpool. But this way they can blame the policy guy, saying he got things wrong (off the record and behind closed doors), then invite a far more relaxed revisit of the deal which will - if still alive - be passed.

Hoffman may yet also go. Keep an eye out for that. But nobody wants this in court - that includes the cartel clubs because any wrongdoing could see massive UEFA repercussion.

 

maybe Bill Bush is not happy in what the PL are trying to do (stop the takeover) and has stepped down
