Ok so with the season about to kick off, the HDM doing their usual local correspondents predictions, I thought I’d see how we all do.

For me, there is some positive signings, experience, defensive improvements, but nothing going forward.
I expect McCant to fail, because he won’t expect the teams to be matching us. Unless he’s learnt to change things round when it’s going pear shaped, the 10th or lower will be where we end up. This of course is if he is still here, but I guess we’ll have to see after 46 games. Personally I’m counting Sun’lan & Leicester kids as 2.

So my predictions:

City: 12th

Promoted: Portsmouth & Ipswich
Play Offs: Oxford, Peterborough, Sun’lan & Fleetwood
Relegation: Northampton, MK, Accrington & Crewe.

I know nothing much about these teams, just going off, names & continuous expectancy for how they finish. However I don’t think I’d be too surprised if City went down with McCant staying on, although it’s the first time since 2015/16 I’m really not expecting relegation.

Promoted: Sunderland, Ipswich

playoffs: City, Charlton, Fleetwood, Portsmouth

City finish: 3rd

Relegated: Rochdale, Lincoln, Accrington, AFC Wimbledon

Man city 8/11
Cardiff 16/1.....value bet brizzle 33/1
Portsmouth 9/1
Brad city 16/1

League 1: Portsmouth champions
2nd: Oxford
Play offs. Sunderland, Peterborough, Plymouth, Fleetwood
Down: Burton, crewe, Wimbledon, Rochdale.
City 15th

With McCann't at the helm for the full season we'll finish lower half .. around 15th or 16th.

If we act quickly and get someone in that knows what they are doing then I have no doubt we could achieve play offs or better, provided we invest in a half decent central striker

Midtable for me(14th) , first half of the season will consist of McCann saying "i don't want to talk about last week's game, that's gone as a group we're all responsible, that we find ourselves in the bottom four, but we reset and go again, the owner's have backed me all the way") by the time the Allam's decide to get rid 10/15 game's in, survival will be the name of the game.
