Man United legend Berbatov believes the Blues paid too much for the German. “I think the amount of money spent on Kai Havertz was a little too much for my taste,” he told Betfair. “It’s ridiculous, it’s too much money. Havertz is a great talent, and I have said that in the past, I am a big fan of his and with my Leverkusen connection I was keeping a keen eye on him every week, but still the money that they have paid is crazy.”
Timo Werner was ‘fascinated’ with a possible move to Liverpool and wanted to join the club and play under Jurgen Klopp… …but he eventually joined Chelsea as he decided he couldn’t wait to move to the Premier League. Werner was strongly linked with a move to Anfield before the COVID-19 pandemic, which affected the Reds’ transfer plans and meant they wouldn’t splash out. Klopp apparently told the German striker to be patient and wait until normality had resumed before the transfer could be done. But, according to Jan Aage Fjortfoft, he opted to join Chelsea instead as they were ready and willing to make it happen NOW. Speaking to Empire of the Kop the former Premier League player-turned-pundit said: “We know that Klopp wanted Werner. “We know, not at least in an interview with me after the Tottenham game, that Werner was very fascinated by Klopp and Liverpool. “Klopp spoke to him and wanted him to be patient. And fair enough, COVID-19 has made clubs more careful. “But after talking, Werner couldn’t wait for Liverpool any longer and signed for Chelsea. “It seems like Klopp has been told to sell before he can buy… but I will also state that Klopp somehow has become his own ‘enemy’, as he has shown so many times that he can make good players into great players. “The owners have of course noticed that – and have possibly told him to ‘do it again’!
Jadon Sancho will become Manchester United’s third-highest earner after ‘agreeing a deal’ to make the transfer from Borussia Dortmund. The Red Devils broke new ground with the 20-year-old on Wednesday night after agreeing personal terms and agent fees. The Daily Star claim the deal would see him earn £250,000-a-week as part of a £90m deal plus £18m in add-ons. This would put him just behind Paul Pogba (£300,000) and just below David De Gea on £350,000. @Suckmyklopp
Chavs spending serious money ... will be interesting to see if Frankie can mould a serious title challenging team from that lot ... think Jurgen and Pep will be getting just a little bit nervous tbf ...
Wasn't the last ex player manager di matteo? Didn't they sack him after winning the cl for the 1st time? Or was that someone else I can't keep up with chav managers tbh
I'm sure your completely unbiased, impartial view will be well received by our Chelsea brethren on here ...
yeh thats correct Fat Frank has had his extended honeymoon period knives will be out this season for all their attacking talent, their Achilles heel(the defence) remains un checked bar the addition of a 37 year old defender
All depends on where abouts they are in December. If they're say 10pts off 4th he'll be sacked. Im not worried about em personally tbh
You dont know what a player manager is mate lol. At least peanut head robbie got some serious bunce. Your more than a family club makes king kenny walk alone after he wins you a cup
No need to jump down my throat bro, I was just pointing out that roman don't give a **** if your an ex player and you win the club the biggest prize in football for the 1st time in their history. so Frank should be under no illusions that he needs to win the prem, fa cup and the cl this year at a bare minimum to even have a chance of saving his job.
Ex Chelsea player. Are you suggesting that because roman bought Frank to Chelsea he's gonna get more rope.
Yeah, obviously. Frank and Terry ran the dressing room by most accounts. If I bought Newcastle and bought some random player and he played there for over 10 years, I'd have more loyalty to him than Shearer. If Shearer was a nob I'd sack him - no qualms.
pointless welshie. Sucky doesn't understand this sort of stuff as liverpool give no ****s to their family. They are basically like the trumps, they try to pretend theres unity, everyone hates them except their own fans but as soon as the going gets tough it'll all come falling down like the house of cards.
