I don't know what's worse the fact its off or the fans lording Ashley s a changed man He's spent 35 m of the clubs profits you think ****s... He's had to do it.. Nothings changed.
Loads of them.. I've seen hundreds of comments saying he's changed were spending loads and he's obviously decided he loves the club and the fans now.
Exactly... He's spent as little as possible on some proven players to try and save the value of his investment.. He also knew he needed to do something to lift the mood after the crashing comedown of this takeover collapse.. Its good business abs I can't complain, but nothings changed its a temporary short sharp spend.. 35 million is **** all these days the thick ****s. Leeds spent it on 1 player.... He's just looked at the situation and realised the other clubs are going nuts. Over 800 million spent.. The sides going to get a few thrashings . The top clubs are even better than and the promoted sides are already as good if not better
It's **** all.... In fact it's pathetic amount, but fans are behaving like starved Ethiopians that have been throw a dry cream cracker.. Even if he spends 50 plus that's actually the 3rd time he's done it.. Nothing new we just haven't sold any one in a year.. Since Perez went for 30 million. It'll be years before splashes another similar amount of the clubs money again..
Look I think they're positive signings that improve the squad but do I think that this signals a major change in Ashley's policy? No chance. It's how we should be approaching each transfer window. However, I do think we make good signings - Dubravka, ASM and Almiron are all worth more than we bought them for. Fingers crossed that's the same for Lewis and Fraser. I also don't worry too much about numbers. We bought Joelinton for £40 million and he isnt a £40 million player. Villa have just bought Watkins who I do rate. However, for the same transfer fees (although realising wages are more!) We've brought in Hendricks, Fraser, Wilson and Lewis - I'd argue we have made better signings than Villa, or West Brom, West Ham, Leeds, Fulham for that matter. IMO you can be both happy with the signings we have made and think they represent progress, w/o thinking Ashley is some messiah. We all know he's just a....
Just reading west ham fans comments on the game and I recognise the same mood towards their situation.. They're a historic club with loyal group of fans and have had **** all success for so long.... They're seeing football as it is for most clubs ie hopeless . The games ****ed basically. Will people start packing it in? Its happened here and I think it's going to happen across the board in the next decade I predict alot of empty seats.. A decade of the top 4 sharing out the spoild and clubs going under elsewhere. Sadly I was hoping we'd be joining them.. Thats all the hope any fan has.. Bloody takeovers.
West Ham fans see it the way we do there is no chance of us competing on a level playing field as the authorities don't want us to they, like us are just here to make the numbers up and now starting to see it
Won't take long for more to join. The game peaked with the deal before last - highlighted by the fact they didn't make any extra income from a renewed deal. They've lost an absolute ****load of cash now and won't get it back anytime soon. China, KSA won't bid for rights, US are again losing all interest as focus returns to NBA, NFL. There'll be a reinvention of sorts. The only solution for the game is to strip it back (less CL places, salary caps, player movement restriction), but that won't happen. There's no interest in it. I'm seeing kids lose a lot of interest, flip flopping from one team to another. There's no loyalty, no belonging. I feel sad, I think most of us on this board experienced real football (pre-90's) and the most exciting period (90-2005 ish). It's dying now, though.
Yep I read what they're saying and it was exactly the same.. I have concluded that's the feeling at the majority clubs with exception of clubs like wolves, Everton who've seen takeovers change things, Leicester of course and you get short rises in mood of promoted sides, but I think people in general are realising the way things are... Its really become about takeover hope for fans
Football is for the fans watching TV at home on America and China more than it is for match going fan... If you support a big club it must be great, but the day st James and other clubs fans aren't there to make their glory a spectacle what happens then? I gave up there's more I'd imagine going to follow. That's why Ash spent the clubs profits
Less money than Ashley. Completely ****ed up his time in France too, they all but ejected him from their club. Wouldn't be happy about that personally.
Any owner needs at least 3 billion and not just in assets.. Otherwise I'd rather stick with fatty.. He's been in the game long enough he knows what he's doing at least...
