We are single handedly tackling corruption. It's ironic that someone as reprehensible as Mike Ashley is taking it to the PL. When someone ****s with the wrong person the fallout can be massive. Masters and Co have done just that.
Mike ashley has been shafted more than any singular fan... I still hate him but he's fighting for himself
Theres some serious wriggling going on. Masters is a lying scum bag and it shows - watch the youtube vid for pshyc analysis of his performance yesterday...
This is true. There is just no way I can see the PL can back down and save face. There is some reason why they don't want this group in that they aren't saying. Otherwise they would just expressly say what is making them question what entity will own the club. Something is off for the cartels owners somewhere, or the PL is being stupidly ambiguous. I wouldn't be surprised to learn this is some elite **** and is nothing to do with football. Regardless this takeover with the saudis won't happen in my opinion. The tell tale sign will come if Ashley doesn't even bother going legal. That will tell you he's privately been told, "they've got you by the balls, no deal".
I'm pretty sure Ashley will be very happy to see this in court, if nothing else it will grab headlines worldwide. That's advertising for Sports Direct on a global scale right there. Wonder if he'll rock up to court in a Lonsdale suit carrying all his papers in a massive SD bag for life
I suspect the changes they put in place after they tried to fail saints takeover were devised in a way they could just simply decide yes or no and hide behind this 'lack of information' bullshit..
The situation is the same.. They're asking for a link to the state, so they can fail it on piracy... Obviously pif aren't going to be that daft, so it's exactly as stavely said.. We won't fail it, but we won't pass it either. They haven't said that to them, but that's what they're doing.
If the PL have not blocked the takeover, as the statement suggests then why did they speak to NUST about the takeover, breaking their own confidentiality clause
The annoying thing for me is its all "we had concerns" or "lack of information", its so generic and says **** all. I think the pressure should be kept up to say "ok tell us your concerns". I'm annoyed with Ashley and the consortium too. They know what these concerns are, so just tell everyone openly what the concerns are. If you know its bullshit, then say that. Everyone is saying its explosive, is it? Seems like we are still pussy footing around to me.
The young cynic that I am, senses that Ashley is looking for damages from the PL. £300m out of pocket, money that he could be using to acquire other businesses.
They are SO full of ****, I don't know where they can go from here. They're in a lot of trouble because as Pouchy rightly says they simply picked the wrong bloke to **** with.
