@Calmac taught me English language and literature, introduced me to Orwell, Tolkien, Shakespeare and Chaucer, with hindsight fantastic influence, but like most cocky kids didn’t appreciate him at the time.
I am sorry to report the sad news, Stewart Donald had his head kicked in at Maddison square garden in the early hours of this morning. Donald finally succumbed by a roundhouse kick, this after an amazing run of 15 fights undefeated.
He's still around.....ugly as ever. Not walking very well but enjoying retirement The odd game for Westoe Senators but was heartbroken in 1973 not to get a ticket for Wembley. Decided it wouldn't happen again so bought a season ticket so I'd have guaranteed Wembley tickets and could see them win the cup next time. That worked out well didn't it? Still waiting! Anyway that brought an end to a very unpromising rugby career!
Still got a couple of weeks till I get back to sunny Roker so hopefully will have something to celebrate
Nice to see you're enjoying retirement.......my mum was the secretary at Argyle House while I was there
I remember you ripping us all new ones at the end of the first year, especially Mooch the millers son
