If the government feels the need to introduce the rule of 6 why isn't it with immediate effect? Why wait until Monday? I'm surprised by the amount of complacency on this board, Covid is still a danger, it isn't directly comparable to flu, flu has a vaccine for a start.
If they introduced it tonight, tomorrow we would have the usual voices saying how the government has ruined their lives. Can you image SKY/PCC dragging out everyone for interviews moaning at the government? However, I totally agree with your comments on complacency but I believe it is rife throughout the country.
What's your opinion on the guy I heard on the radio today? An infectious diseases expect who disagrees strongly with you. Is he just talking bollocks?
Did you read the blog I put up Col ? Really has got me thinking. I tend to agree with the first expert at this present time.......and personally I think it’s done it’s worse, killed off a lot of elders and infirm and now we are gonna have to love with it like we do with flu. But that’s just my opinion.
Yes I did, but the infectious diseases expert on the radio today disagrees with both of you. Who do I listen to?
Only you can make that choice mate....But from what Kendrick said.....the figures don’t match the scare mongering. I’ve said for quite a while I don’t believe there will be a ‘second wave’...just spikes here and there. And as I said earlier.....who cares how many are infected of it that figure is rising ? Less are dying of (or with it) so I’m led to believe, therefore why the need for grasses, snoops and loss of liberty...?
I really hope Strolls, Staines and others are right and that we shouldn't be taking further measures. As I say, I've changed my mind on a daily basis, but I don't fancy taking a gamble and ending up badly ill. So I'm going to continue playing it safe without being paranoid.
It really is a tricky one in my opinion. I've blasted the government left, right and centre for their incompetence regarding this pandemic. They are now stuck between a rock and a hard place. Keep the economy ticking as much as possible whilst not under acting when it comes to infection rates. This is one time........wait for it.......wait for it........that I agree with Ellers! Damned if they do damned if they dont.
I would have liked your post even without the last line Bob. Agree 100%. I'm glad I don't have to make these decisions.
