Klopp is having a meeting today with Wijnaldum. We will probably get to know the outcome soon. If he doesn't want to sign a new contract, he may be on his way to Barcelona which would give us funds to sign Thiago. If he's signing a new contract then a replacement may not happen. I think a lot of our movement in the transfer window is dependent on Wijnaldum's decision.
Nah, gave up doing that about a week and half ago. **** will happen. Or no **** will happen. Me checking twitter every 2mins stressing about it is futile, I'm a much happier person
Not at all, most new signings of other clubs are not going to gel in immediately, possible that some are going to be misfit. Who knows?.
We simply don't need a lot, and what we do need either isn't available for the price we want or we're working on it behind the scenes, I know it's become a bit of cliche with us but I'm looking forward to seeing what "like new signings" minamino and naby & Jones can do this year.
So just Zorba & me . Plus - now have FB cover , Minamino look to be finding his feet , Bobby looks sharp Negatives - lack good cover for Salah , lack of creativity in MF unless Naby starts performing , lack of sales of unwanted players in particularly Shaqiri & Wilson .Lack of 4th CB
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp will hold talks with Georginio Wijnaldum on Wednesday over his open-ended contract situation, according to a report. Wijnaldum has entered the final year of his Anfield deal, but there has yet to be a development over his future. As is stands, the midfielder will be free to sign a pre-contract agreement with another club in January. Indeed, Barcelona boss Ronald Koeman is a strong admirer of his fellow Dutchman. Contract talks between Liverpool and Wijnaldum reportedly fell through earlier this year and, according to the Daily Mail, Klopp will now intervene. The German will sit down with the midfielder at Melwood on Wednesday to discuss the 29-year-old’s thoughts and plans. The newspaper also claims, though, that Wijnaldum has offered no indication of wanting to leave. Wijnaldum has proved a fantastic addition to Klopp’s trophy-laden side. Indeed, no Reds midfielder played more minutes than the Dutchman in the Premier League last season. He has scored 19 goals for the club, including three in Champions League semi-finals. https://www.teamtalk.com/news/klopp-intervenes-showdown-georginio-wijnaldum-contract
I think we could very much do with a thiago type player. We can't continue to rely on the fullbacks creating with no plan b if teams push them back.
