Ironic that a few seasons ago there were some of us on here including myself who were criticising teams for playing weaker teams in competitions. I agree that first team training takes priority, but surely only a handful of u23s will make the bench. So why not play them. Anyway it's up to Bielsa and he hasn't let us down.
could be. I’d expect a slot for Pablo and Rodrigo in for either costa or bamford (the answer to which might give an indication of how he sees Rodrigo fitting in the team). Not impossible Rodrigo is on the bench if he hasn’t had chance to learn the set patterns. Think it’s also possible that Koch starts on the bench and Ayling plays centre back, Dallas goes to right back and Douglas on the left.
