Amen to that. It seems about 15 years since we had a settled pre season with not much tinkering required to the squad or some kind of takeover in the offering. Its absolutely vital that whoever is in discussions to buy the club view it as a long term plan with good times and bad times to come. This club can be fantastic and can be a beast of a club again but it needs direction and vision to get us there.
I bet ya a fair few company managers in Sunderland and Newcastle will want takeovers of both clubs to go through as well ....so they can get some work out of everybody instead of paying them to refresh every 5 minutes!
I think it's been OK apart from a few people wumming then playing the victim when they get the reaction they were looking for in the first place ... ... it takes a little time to realise who's best ignored, especially with an influx of new people. As @Nig pointed out it would help if new people introduced themselves, especially if they go straight on the attack.
I like this. I might start a newbie introduction thread (if not one already). I won't re-post my intro in here as already done it.

This is interesting as @Gillythedilf posted last night they'd been told that there would be "no announcement on Friday" - which I though was really odd as it suggested something was happening on Friday, but no announcements made. @Smug in Boots ; @Magnus ; @Prehab26 - were you expecting something to happen this Friday?
Dont think NB is suggesting an announcement on Friday just the further questions he mentioned on the podcast he might have answers for on Friday
Yes that's what I mean - if he's getting news on Friday it hints that something is expected to happen or be confirmed on Friday, even if not officially announced. Which would fit with the randomness of a message saying "no announcement on Friday". Why pick Friday for that text message? Why not Wednesday, or Thursday? My guess is that something is happening Friday but they're not going to announce anything.
I don't know anyone who's said anything of the sort. Some people keep latching onto things and repeating them as facts. As far as I'm concerned 'serious talks are ongoing' and the EFL are, or soon will be, involved. At this stage not even the buyer or seller could give dates, end of story ... ... and Storey
