Id go this team, but id probably pick Wyke over Grigg based off tonight's dominating performance.
Itd be abit demoralising for him to be dropped after that.

We've got decent squad depth this season with a few players all batting to claim a place in the starting 11. I hope Parkinsons not as shy in rotating his squad this year, and making substitutions before the 85th minute.

Not sure I would play Hume and jumanji in the same side?

For the first time in years we have players on the bench who haven't really done much wrong. Going of Southern Adam's starting 11 we have Matthews, Flanagan, Feeney, dobson, leadbitter, gooch, wyke, graham, diamond, neil. Surely we have the strongest squad in this league?

By a ****ing distance I reckon mate. I’m very confident for the season.

Having 3 forwards score tonight is great, but having 3 midfielders score as well is even bigger.

I fancy Scowen might be massive this season.

Parkies go a lot to think about but hope he doesn't ignore the young lads

Really like the look of Diamond and Neil
Diamond was rapid tonight and he has a final ball / cross to match
and for me Neil has been our best midfielder in pre season

Think we have the squad but still worried about the manager being a bit too old school.
    Hoping to be proved wrong.

It’s true to say, with a gaffer we all were onboard with I bet we’d all be confident for the season.

I am in spite of Parky as I genuinely think we just look strong for the league, if we go up either way we will overlook his roulette style substitutions.

We’ve a great chance of a win Saturday then a run of games that will show us exactly what we’re about, and some of our main rivals.

Im buzzing for Saturday, if gutted I can’t have the opening home game experience that I’ve buzzed off for 33 years.

7/1 with bet 363 to win the league...

8/11 to finish in the top 6....

    9/4 to be promoted....

10/3 to finish in the top 2....

I couldn't resist some of the above, a couple more signings and I'll be more than confident of winning a good few quid....

I got us at 10/1 on my season acca 2 weeks ago mate, we’ve gone in since then.

When Toney left Peterborough we went from 10s to 8’s, shows how tight they see the teams at the top when one transfer changes odds of other sides by such a slice.

Good to have everyone playing well early doors and helps Parky out. Going to be a lot of rotation this season and it looks like we have the numbers and talent to deal with it. Haven't a scooby what team he'll play Saturday, suspect it'll favour the more experienced lads with the young uns on the bench.

I think a few of those starting berths are up for grabs:
    Diamond putting pressure on Onions
Grant pushing for a central role, pushing Power & Scowen further up, knocking Maguire out
Any 2 of Wyke, OB, Grigg & Graham up top

    Canny choices

Although it's been decimated, I have a feeling our academy could be the difference. Neil and Diamond will hopefully be involved, and as the season goes on hopefully more make the step up. Maybe one or two of the new additions to the U23's.

Like I say, even though it's been torn apart it's probably still a better resource than the rest of the leagues youth sides.

I know both Gooch and Maguire played well at times last season but does anyone think they deserve to start on Saturday over the likes of Neil and Diamond? I think Maguire has only shown flashes during pre-season and Gooch has looked way off in matches but I've been impressed with both of the young uns.

Why? I absolutely would. Arby to replace Flanagan. A left footed centre back we've been crying out for.

The other option (although not sure it would work) would be to play Wyke instead of O'Brien.

So Wyke and Grigg up top with Maguire behind
