Didn’t watch it last night. Too tired. Anyway, Hirchi has had a good go but looks like he’ll be caught before the end. Jumbo-Visma are the team that’s impressing me this year though. Reckon Ineos have a bit of a battle on their hands.
Got to feel a bit sorry for Hirchi. That last descent was incredible. He couldn’t hold on but then when caught managed to regroup and launch another attack and just failed to hang on. The race is building up nicely- one of the best for a few years!
I'll go with my earlier prediction that it's Roglics to lose. That said, Bernal looked strong today. An absolute beast if a descent by Hirchi, at times scarey.
He put everything into that didn’t he? He didn’t have the luxury of swapping out the lead like the others did but he still did well. Bet he’s still a bit gutted he never got the stage win. Jumbo-Visma are looking like a good team but whether or not they’ll be able to keep it up for the whole tour is debatable.

I think you are probably right! I went for Pogacar and he is still in with a chance but Roglic looks as if he is in charge as do the Jumbo Visma team. BUT all the main contenders are still in the mix ( with the exception perhaps of Pinot ) and there's only 44 seconds covering the top 7 riders in the GC. Anything could happen!!
It's an interesting race this year. I do hope they finish in Paris as I think if the race is abandoned early it won't really feel like a win for the rider in yellow. It's great to see the likes of Ineos struggling but, as EJK posted earlier, Jumbo Visma looking immensely strong at the moment, can they last? Can Ineos get stronger? It's all very intriguing.
Regarding General Classification I would agree at this stage Jumbo-Visma appear to have the upper-hand over INEOS (of which too many riders appear to be underperforming) it will be interesting to see how much of a difference Sivakov makes after todays rest day, he made an appearance at the front - for the first time yesterday - when the breakaway was trying to form. Can JV's Woat Van Aert keep this pace and stamina up for the rest of Le Tour? From Saturday's first Pyreneen stage tended to show weaknesses in their solid supremacy in my opinion. Roll on tomorrow!!
Couldn’t stay awake last night so sacked it with about 40km to go. Saw a couple of crashes. As it was a flat stage they were all flying. Anyone able to fill me in with more detail?

I watched it but wasn’t concentrating 100% because of all the goals going in on the 8-1!! It was a complicated route at the finish with lots of street furniture to contend with. A couple of crashes. It was a sprint finish in which Sam Bennet just held off Sagan. He got quite emotional in the post race press conference. He came across as a good lad!
Long lumpy days riding today. Brutal stage and the next two days aren't going to be easy. A great ending and a show of dominance by Jumbo Visma. Bernal looked as if he was pedalling in treacle.
