still not too sure why griggs first was not allowed, looked to me as if the 'keeper went over without any contact but i will put that down to ref having a better view...2nd one my stream had gone so no idea. first 20 minutes we looked like 'old' sunderland and got into them resulting in one disallowed, one off the line, keeper saving one plus a couple of other chances...after that, as i said afore, we just slowly slipped back to a hoof up the wings, quick break over half way then back and that is my problem with parky...today seemed to confirm it, go all out to get a lead then put the onus on the opposition to break us down and attack...we saw the problem with that, if we dont score we tire fast and end up just clearing our lines. not convinced dobson should start, at least not him and power together...we have other, possibly better options now.
Thanks RTB and what an improvement on the SAFC site this year, shame our useless manager can not display the same level of improvement in his tactics and policies.
Whilst I'm not Parky's number one fan, I though we played well on Saturday. Created - can't see any reason why the first goal was chalked off and the second was marginal at best (although looked miles off at first view! Only realised how close it was when I watched it back!) Probably could've given Neil a run out as Wyke was, in my view, the reason for Hull getting a foothold at the end of the game. 10 minutes of pressure is all I remember. Parkinson will get the benefit for me. I wasn't bothered about the cup (although would've liked to win the game) For the most part the team played well. Defended well and could easily have won it 2 or 3 nil. New defender will make a difference as he looks like a footballer and looks strong in the tackle too. I'll stick with it for now, didn't think he did a massive amount wrong at the weekend personally
