Forgot to include these beauts from the past. Both were made by the late, great DJ Mehdi who sadly passed away on the 13th September 2011. Probably the only "celeb"/famous person I was genuinely upset over.
He was a DJ's DJ - always playing an eclectic mix of music & forever had a smile on his face with such a unique dance, you never felt like he was a DJ when playing (more one of the crowd) & he was one of the main reasons I got into electronic music a few years back and how I am where I am today musically, despite progressing beyond electro.

I know there are a fair few Metallica fans on here and I have recently grown to love this song. Probably one of my favourite Metallica songs of all time. I don't think the album version is anything special. But the S&M version is amazing!

 

I'm not really into most modern rock bands, because most of them are ****ing ****.

Btw, Metallica are working with an artist called Lou atm. Just to mention before anyone over reacts, that the new album "Lulu", is not an official Metallica album, so don't judge it as their new work or anything.

Their new proper album comes out next year

 

The first song is pretty **** to be honest on 'Lulu'. But I will still get the album and listen to them all. James Hetfield's vocals sound awesome at the moment!

 

Yeah but remember it's not really a new Metallica album. Thier official album comes out next year

I know, but I was still hoping for something slightly better. And it is a Metallica album because it has Metallica in it, although obviously I am much more excited regarding the album next year! I was just hoping that James would sing a bit more in the song. However, it has grown on me a bit the more I listen to it.

 

Agreed. But as i said, it's like a side project rather than their big new album. It's Lou Reed and Metallica, not just Metallica. If it sucks, i wont be judging Metallica on it. If their new album next year sucks i will judge them.

Apparently they were gonna make an album together ages ago. I can't believe people are judging it only like 90 seconds of one song...

 

The full version of that song is out now. I won't judge it til I have heard the whole album, but it doesn't sound too promising.

That's aweful. But Metallica are just like a support group on this album. It's mostly written be Lou Reed.

I'm amazed that it's actually possible to make a song as appalling as this! I love Metallica, and kind of like Lou Reed but this is just beyond dreadful to the point that it hurts to listen to it! I'm off to listen to Call of Ktulu and The Four Horsemen to get rid of this monstrosity from my memory

Also, that Kyuss song is quality!
