Looks like typical Ashley to me. Some clubs look to tighten their belt a little and he’s chucked his in the bin and is doing a helicopter with his cock.
Everything is being done differently.. Its got all the bells and whistles.. The image on show is different..
Look at the picture of Wilson. No Sports Direct logo anywhere. Compare it to literally every other signing under Ashley. I’ll give chaos this - it does feel different this time.
Nah its not normal... There's been a huge shift in operations.... Everythings being done better, the manager is choosing players, buying British, breaking wage cap... It looks better.. The image is better...
I know you're joking, but seriously, if he has a good working relationship with the chairman and the owner... they'll let him spend. It makes sense.
Your all deluded. This is not takeover. This is The last throw of the dice for survival by MA to keep his asset worth 300m by doing what he SHOULD be doing. We have signed two players from a relegated team. One of which wasn’t even playing? Why the positivity?
Every manager who has been antagonistic with him has come off worse. I mean he won't give you much regardless as Pardew found out, but at least there is not a constant toxic atmosphere. Sadly there will still be an element of that as playing ball with him is viewed by weakness by the fans. You're then a puppet or his mouthpiece, a brown noser. Its like we want a fight
Bruce is a ringworm.. It doesn't surprise me that he's been backed heavier than any manager in the clubs history.... Ashley ego is one factor.. He employs someone dreadful then gives them funds... McLaren for example.... Bruce could suck anyone dry he's a nice guy that can manipulate the media.. He gets 10/10 for that... Can he build his own functional footballing side?history tells us no, but we have to hope it works.. I don't get why people want him to fail.. Its more important we do well than being proved right or wrong. This will all turn to **** early on in the season when reality kicks in... Sorry but you need good coaches and a good manager in this league... There's worse sides with better managers that outdo us year on year.
If you are not positive about our transfer business this summer so far, I can only assume you either don't watch football, you're a perennial moaner, or you've just been conditioned by the owner to not enjoy life. Why people keep mentioning "relegated" teams I can't quite fathom. I wonder if Liverpool do the same about Robertson, or Winajdum or Ings when they got him, or Shaqiri? The list goes on and on too. Its just nonsense, they are PL players, hence regardless of us, they'd have been playing top level football this year. Within the last 18 months both players have been heavily linked with the likes of Spurs, Arsenal, Chelsea. I understand that its still not spellbinding business, but its already more than normal. If Lewis and Rogerio do go through and we've spent 50m plus Fraser, Gillespie and Hendricks on a free, for Newcastle that represents a complete break from the norm. I can fully understand some positivity for all I'd say lets not carried away. It already should be enough to keep our heads above water. Provided the manager can have another good season of course, which is far from guaranteed looking at his career.
If we buy another two players for cash then I will admit it is very unashley like. However buying players when your squad is paper thin already as a premier league football club should be normal practice.
It'll be interesting. I can't believe anyone would be under any illusions, he had a good season for him last year looking at his career. The rider would obviously be, to be fair to him, he's essentially managed a load of **** hawk relegation candidates so he's not had it easy. I am not convinced at all but he'll have my support as with any manager. He is good with the media, good with the owner, and he is a proper football man who is well liked and respected within the game. He has good contacts and has always signed good players. That's great, but results will dictate his future and he needs to be maintaining the level as Rafa did before him or Pardew previously.
