I keep telling my wife the reason I keep going in the pub is that it has a sign behind the counting saying Free Beer Tomorrow. But tomorrow never comes.
I can see opinion is divided but for me Burnsy did a good job and I'm sorry he's got the boot - for now anyway. Swanny got better when he realised he needed to up his game and inform the listener instead of the other way round. As many have mentioned, the biggest disappointment is for those who can't afford to pay for the live stream because some rich kid decides he needs even more money. The quicker this club gets new owners the better. Our day will come!
I have, but it was his mate, Dave Burns. Is it me but did Burnys sound disappointed that we had actually won after the penalties on Saturday ?
What I saw of the highlight, 'we was lucky Brian'. Still dodgy ref decisions went for us. Things are on the up and up, but maybe that's down and down.
For me Burnys says what most of us think, yes he can ramble on a bit to much about drinks, food etc.... during a match but let's be honest action on the pitch is hit and miss . The reason he is not on air is because he tells it as it is ( Wigan away), and the Allams do not like it ! Everyone on here slags the owners, manager, and players, when Burnys does it on air he's the voice of the fans.
Love Burnsey's commentators. One of the best. Will miss Saturday's throwing rubber bricks at the radio.
'Dissatisfied'. We won away at Sunderland, kept a clean sheet and several new players made their debut's and he never mentioned any of them. We scored five excellent penalties and the winner was superbly put away by a young local lad called Keane Lewis Potter. What's to be dissatisfied with ?
Weird how we can remember Things like that number Castro, but we can’t remember what we got up and went into the kitchen for. Getting old is a proper ****!
We weren’t good but we weren’t ****. We didn’t concede a goal after a minute. We had new players who all looked pretty bloody good. No one wants the allams here No one rates terry, I’m hoping and it’s a big hope he can turn it around, and he and the team weren’t great. But there was plenty to be a little positive about. And as it’s our team we should look for any positives we can.
We had a Liverpool ‘supporter’ in today, buying a car off one of my colleagues. Silly **** had a baseball cap on with the Liverpool AFC emblem on it, I couldn’t help asking him if he was from Liverpool. The obvious answer was the expected response, no but he has an uncle from there that has always sent him shirts etc since he was a kid, I told him that wasn’t anywhere near a good enough reason not to support his local club, and that he was t getting a pass based on his answer. That’s one of the good things, nay really great things, about getting old, you simply don’t give a **** what you say anymore, my filter has completely disappeared Oh, and for those interested, the **** still bought the car!
95% chance the cheque will bounce, the plates & engine number will be modified ! Scousers eh Oh I forgot - a re-spray too
