Could Everton afford the £30m + to sign him though, aint you guys already signed a couple of players this week? Its also doubtful that Everton could match anything near what City are paying him. City will struggle to find someone who will pay him the £200k a week or whatever they are paying him so Stones might not be so eager to move on. Maybe the loan is to run down his contract
Wife’s uncle is a City fan and he mentioned it. Probably do want a sale tbf, but can’t see anybody forking out upwards of £30m for him.
We’ve bought one so far - Allan, the other 2 will be announced tomorrow hopefully. I wouldn’t want us to buy him, I’d maybe take him on loan for a season though, but I doubt that’d work as he’d not be first pick. As for his wages, of course we could pay them, we’ve got bigger earners than him, but would we want to pay them for a bench warming CB? Doubt it.
Circa £20m mate. Doucouré is £22m plus £3m add ons - they knocked back nearly £40m last summer for him.
Ok just checked and Stones is only on 100k a week at City, I thought it would have been more than that. Out of interest, who is Everton's top earner?
Is that a transfer or one of those 2 year loans? That’s a ridiculously low fee for him if he can discover some good form, it could end up being signing of the season at that price. Surprised Arsenal haven’t had a go at that price.
Bernard who arrived on a Bosman, and Mina at the minute, both on £120k a week. I’d expect Rodriguez to become our highest earner tomorrow though.
It’s a transfer mate, he’s reportedly signing (or has already signed) a 3 year deal. He was in his last year at Madrid, after he went back there from Bayern. They’d had him on a 2 year loan and had an option to make the deal permanent at £42m, but he told them he’d prefer to go back to Madrid apparently, where he was promptly largely frozen out by Zidane. If he stays fit and adjusts to the league he could be fantastic, as he’s top notch quality wise. He ****ed up going to Madrid when they were stockpiling back in 2014. They had Ronaldo, Benzema, Bale and Modric ffs, he still managed nearly 1 in 3 from AM when he played though. He’d have not looked at us twice if it wasn’t for Ancelotti, same goes for Allan.
When you compare it to our relatively recent previous then it looks a no brainer to me. We paid £27m for Bolasie bless him, not to mention a similar fee for ****ing Iwobi.
