Pretty much my feelings on dog ownership. I just laugh when I see these people on the street, in the park ...

Waiting around for ages while the dog does whatever general dog stuff it's doing. Waiting around for the dog to take a dump. Watching the dog take a dump. Picking up the dog's hot, fresh dump. Walking off with and carrying the dog's hot, fresh, but now getting cold and less fresh, dump for the rest of their walk or until there's a bit it can go in. Don't get it. And then theres the rivers of dog piss flowing across pavements which is just disgusting.

as a dog owner i'm not entirely sure that is a fair representation of dog ownership .

after all you missed out wandering around shouting your dogs name in between muttering "ffs don't be in the river chasing the swans again you little fooker" .

I’ve just got back from walking my dog. I make the mrs pick up the steaming hot poop....the dogs too.

Walks are thoroughly enjoyable apart from the occasional time that the dog thinks that anyone sitting on the floor having a picnic is there to share their food...

Would recommend dog ownership to any family. Just carefully choose the type of dog you have and only get one if you are prepared to walk the dog accordingly.

Ive not myself but know several people who've got dogs from there, it's a very thorough process from what I'm told. interviews, house vists and check ups after.

I know people like to rescue dogs and that's great tbh but I'd never want someone else dog, wouldn't trust any dog I never had from a pup tbh

Tbh I couldn't be arsed with interviews and house checks and **** like that, but I get why people do, I'd imagine they put down any dogs with aggressive behaviour anyway

I had a dog that was half Afghan, and one of the features she inherited was the long snout. When you took her for a walk, she had a penchant for inserting said feature, with a gentle upward thrusting motion, between the buttocks of anyone within range.
I've had a number of close encounters with some rather surprised and irate females because of this.

I used to have a boxer that had no snout but still did that. Was more of a headbut tbh but the response sounds similar.
