It was a draw because Sunderland missed chances not because we deserved it.
A draw is progress although the stats show it was the same as last season and infact no progress there.
We won the shootout lottery, unfortunatley we won’t have that luxury on Saturday.
So we need the change the 0 into a more positive number, the stats show we'll struggle .

You’d have moaned regardless of what he said. The same negative behaviour you deride fans for on here, you display towards David Burns.

The game on Tuesday also goes to a penalty shootout if it’s tied after 90mins.

But, we get a point even if we lose the shout-out and we get two if we win it. Good system.

What a stupid reply. The chance to really question ehab. No prearranged questions burns bragged prior to the interview and what Did we get? Nothing. Everything meekly accepted.
It was pathetic and burns allowed it.

No chance in a shout-out. McCann is far too quiet.

Maybe he accepted it because he hasn’t got the knowledge to question it, Ehab knows this which is why he lets burns do the interviews.
    I might be wrong but...

what happened to the guy from yp Richard sutcliffe I think his name ?

And doesn’t want to try does he geo. Which is his large ego coming into play. Clearly out of his depth, unwilling to brush up but still wanted to do it. An opportunity missed.

He left the YP to join The Athletic, but the YP ran an article slagging off the Allams, so they’d be out of favour anyway.

    Eaves has ankle ligament damage.
That kid needs a lucky break. He was shot last season.

does anyone know what system Gillingham played for him to bang them in for them? I barely even saw him before he got injured yesterday.

They played two up front. They certainly didn’t hammer the ball up to him at every opportunity.

Maybe we could say the same about Ehab, he doesn’t know about football and want to learn about the fans

Anyway, back to the game ....

I can sort of understand some on here trying (very hard) to look for the odd little positive, but there's no masking the facts.
Yes, we were ****e. It was dire.
Same approach, same problems, same failings, just now transferred to a division lower.
One 'shot' on target .... and that was a tame header. That is shocking (but not as in surprising).
If we are honest, we should have been 2 or 3 down. Thankfully their finishing was ****, but the difference was at least they were creating something. 16 shots. Our midfield and defence wasn't solid, it was simply that their finishing was dreadful (bar a decent save from Ingram).
Going forward we were simply dreadful. Pathetic. Awful.
Same approach, not working, never mind just keep going.
McCann stood there on the touchline like the clueless puppet he is.
The positive for me was Emmanuel. Promising effort from him. If he's 2nd choice then Coyle must be decent.
Elder, and maybe Scott too, will make a positive difference. We are still way short, and continue to be constrained by McCann's (&/or Enob's) tactical stubborness and naivity.

Obviously early doors but how close to our strongest side was yesterday’s team at Sunderland ?

    Talk about losing touch...

Might well have missed someone, but here's a starter .....

Long in for Ingram. Not sure that's an improvement.
Elder for Fleming. We'll be stronger with Elder in.
Scott. Jury out but seems highly rated.
Magennis for Eaves. Hmmn. Eaves went off injured, but was anonymous before then anyway.
Coyle for Emmanuel. Emmanuel did pretty well.
LDS? Doesn't sound like he'll be staying.

We need more coming in, and not just more promising kids.

Could kick off this one but I think the phrase 'early doors' is wrong used in this context. It should be 'early days' imo.

But to answer your question it's a bit too early to say, haven't seen the likes of Coyle, Jones and Arthur yet but on yesterday's performance I hope we've got someone better than Honeyman to step in.

Don't bring accuracy into it. You will be accused of pedantry.
