Correct mate and welcome aboard. I have watched Bamford Grot, Cibicki play games for the 23s and all of them looked on a different level. Even Cibicki was class and scored 2 screamers in his first game. bamford was off the chart and scored for fun leaving young Edmondson only dreaming. Grot was a monster and powered through for his goals. Roberts was trying to be the big I am and failed every time and dont even think the 23s enjoyed having him in the team.

Hes now 21 and its passing him by Im afraid and if he was so good why did WBA get rid?. We have players of 16, 17 & 18 who excite me Roberts just dissapoints me because he has something but he rarely shows it :emoticon-0148-yes:

Anyone else falling asleep watching Southgates tactics. How many hundreds of millions worth of English player on view and struggling against fishermen and goat herders. Southgate is useless and Leeds Utd under Bielsa would batter them. Phil Nevilles tarts were better than this ffs

Best right back in the country has just been brought on because Walker sent off, why wasnt Alexander Arnold not playing and the thick git has taken off Foden and Sancho <laugh><laugh> sterling now in the middle and hes brought on Ings to play up front with Kane. Southgate should be sacked immediatley

I believe the young CB from Dynamo Zagreb joins us next week but just read this which could be journo bollox, but if not it shows you the difference between a good young kid being good enough however old they are. This kid doesn't go to the 23s

Dinamo Zagreb have been left “speechless” by Leeds United after the Whites tabled a “serious double-digit” bid for centre-back Josko Gvardiol, according to 24 Sata.

The Croatian newspaper reports on their website that Gvardiol, 18, has attracted attention from Italy, Germany and England but although he’s only made 13 senior appearances in his career, Marcelo Bielsa has not thought twice about making a move to sign him.

Gvardiol looks a good prospect. Be interesting to see him over a season to see just how good he is. That's the problem with youtube clips, it's a very small sample and it's easy to handpick the good bits.

What I see on the vid below is a good young defender but goes to ground too often which is a sign that he might not quite read the game just yet.

Don't get me wrong, he might get it right more often than not or it might go horribly wrong from time to time. I'd obviously take the signing given the noise about him but I will reserve judgement until I have seen him play a bigger sample of games. It's tough to get a gig at CB as an 18 year old in the mens game so that's a big positive.

By all accounts Barry Douglas had a good game yesterday and his set pieces were a constant danger

Wonder if Bielsa has decided that Douglas is the better option than Pablobecause he was a big weapon for Wolves the season they were promoted

I honestly think we’ll come unstuck if we use Dallas at LB all season, I’d love Douglas to play how we expected him to when he first joined. Maybe Bielsa is having one final look at him before deciding to keep or replace?

Just noticed that Wolves have splashed out £36m on an 18yo who scored 1 goal last season. Now thats not a bad thing if the Wolves manager has a plan and can see how this kid fits the plan and can be effective. The sort of thing we see Bielsa do so nobody gets on his back because we trust him to know what hes doing. How would Leeds fans react to Bielsa paying £36m for Sam Greenwood, which is actually much more than we paid for Rodrigo? Wow that is a gamble Mr Spiritu Sanctus

i agree and think this season we need specialists in each position and accept that Bielsa player need to be able to specialise in more than 1 position and you may have noticed that Douglas has played very well as a LB in the last 2 friendlies and then moved to midfield last week. Leif Davies used as CB when we know hes a LB and with Dallas last season Bielsa used him at LB, RB, LW, RW, Midfield and even though he was good to very good we will get caught out this season. Dallas for the bench for me :emoticon-0148-yes:

Douglas has the obvious advantage over Dallas of having a left foot. Dallas has been a fantastic utility player for us and will continue to be so.

Issue with Douglas is the Ian Harte one. Cultured left boot, no pace. He got skinned plenty in the champ. Prem attackers running at him? Think that’s why wolves let him go after a really good season for him, when they got promoted.
