Because he is like a racehorse injury prone if over used. Roberts has to be managed and has never been fit for long.
This makes sense. He does do some very good stuff (occasionally), but for me he's too inconsistent and with his injuries it feels to me like he's a bit of a weak link overall within the team.
if you watch the highlights of today he had the goal in front of him and he missed the target. I looked at the ratings after and he was only given 6 with the rest getting 7 and 7.5 (Kiko and Shaks 6 too) if he wants to crack on and get a regular place he needs to do much much more for me
Roberts will find it much harder this season to get on the pitch especially with De Paul or whoever comes in and with Rodrigo and with having kids like Greenwood and Gelhardt champing at the bit. So for me he has to do the business every time or not even get on the bench
I'd fully agree with your last comment there. I've seen him in the U23s too and he can give the impression he's strolling around when compared to the other players, almost appears a bit nonchalant? He doesn't tend to do this so much in 1st team proper games, but as you say needs to show more. Can see a reason why we could be looking for a new No 10.
