  1. Now then lads,

For those that know me you will know I have had a horrendous time with my partners health. The gist is after she gave birth to our daughter 2 years ago her left hip totally collapsed and had to be removed. As she is Cerebral Palstic there was no way a replacement hip could be considered as the spasms which come with such a condition could dis-joint a replacement and leave her in a worse state.

Anyway as a result in her getting her hip removed her left leg locked, bent into her ribs and unable to come down due to her body constantly spasming.

Well we got a life line today and it's a long-shot but the Senior Neurologist at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham has just recently treat a patient in similar circumstances and has managed to get the patients leg down and them sitting again. It's a life-line and a long way to go but for the last two years I'd have crawled naked over broken glass for this woman.

Sometimes there's more to life than hate and dislike and no doubt some of you have experienced it in the past or experiencing it now? It's a funny world lads but I haven't laughed much over the last two years after seeing my lady crippled and bringing my daughter up on my own.

We are a One-North-East and the best people on the planet so whatever the teams do tomorrow then lets raise a smile for victory to whoever..

Be good lads, take care & be happy..

    Joe..

I had rotator cuff surgery at that hospital, just remember it being in a really smart area, big houses and such.

Well Joe it's good to see someone bringing a bit of sanity into the forum after all the madness that has gone on over the last few days.

I, as I see we all do, hope that this treatment works and you are able to get your life back to a little more like normality.
