As no one else has set up a thread for this game I thought I might have a go for the first time, it should be easy as there is not much to say! It won't happen again for a while I suspect! First of all welcome to our new season in the Championship which I hope will be more joyous than last season. The match is the first available on the new Hive Live streaming service which I have to say is a welcome initiative and long may it continue. Our final (?) pre season game is against our old EPL foes Spurs. There is no information on the Watford FC website about our team or of late pre season activity and transfers have been kept under wraps with little information coming to fans. This is different from previous pre season activity and we are all wondering why. A number of Spurs players are unavailable due to international call up or for other reasons. If nothing else this will give us the opportunity to see who likely to line up for us next season and how we are set up to play. I expect there will be a lot of substitutions to give everyone a bit of a game. Enjoy the game all.
£5 for the opportunity to watch a preseason friendly with its large number of substitutions is rather steep in my opinion, regardless of how they dress it up.

Fear not all you established authors of the match day thread, I had drafted it out and then tried to put COYH in colours and big letters as per tradition and everything I wrote disappeared so I had to start again . I will leave it to the experts with their excellent formatting skills and deep knowledge. Have got Hive on my PC and after a few jitters it seems to be stable now, wouldn't say it was HD but a lot better than a illegal stream, I don't have fibre. It's good to be able to test it before next week. Where is Troy? I don't know half of the players in the line up today, could be interesting. Enjoy the game all. C O Y H look I did it....
Well done!! I cant do all that graphic stuff anymore..... .brain fog! Re the stream.... i suggest refreshing from time to time... as it has paused on me when I changes a setting and dropped into a few seconds delay
