@The Huddlefro guess who’s been doing some ITK digging?! So in conjunction with our very good mate(s) “The Goat” over on SC, who claim that a “striker was sipping latte at the training ground”, Jjetset on Twitter - who quite a few class as one of the most reliable ITKs around - has said “we’re close to signing a striker completely under the radar”. Naturally neither of them gave a clue as to who though. Man I’ve missed ITKs, transfer windows just aren’t the same without them
If it’s whored by the goat then I’m all for it. “The significant owl hoots in the night” and all that. If it’s true though then curious as to who it is. Not a player in any international squads, though I think it’s only the European nations playing this window so it mightn’t be that obscure. Disappointing lack of ITK volume and absurdity so far this window tbh. Maybe it’s just because everyone knows we haven’t got cash.
I actually think we’ve got cash you know, not an abundance but I just think we’re pulling “an Arsenal” (eurgh) in that we’re coming across the completely skint club but at some point will splash more than expected. Not expecting a £72m signing like they did but I’ve just got a feeling something might come out of the blue. If the ITK’s claims have any substance, I think Wood could be a serious contender. Just a few days ago I said he could be a left field option but his name has actually cropped up in a few places over the last 24-48 hours. Certainly fits Jose’s mould more so than many of the others we’ve been linked with.
I think that the ITK mob are full of ****, but Wood would be a decent shout for that rumour. He's homegrown, not knowingly covided and New Zealand aren't playing in this international break. Wouldn't expect him to be cheap, though.

Best one was the “blue and yellow” one from over a decade ago. Each colour supposedly represented a target and so when we did actually sign someone, that was “obviously” blue then “obviously” yellow for the second.
Ally Gold’s confirmed we do have funds for a striker and that Habib Diallo of Metz is a strong target (he’s been linked during the course of the window). CB is next on the list after that.

Castagne set them back £18m, Doherty cost less than that (and also leads us back the the talk about Jorge Mendes doing a favour for one of his favourite clients) On the subject of Castagne, I'm guessing that Leicester will be playing him at LB with Pereira at RB
