I'm suprised that the stage never collapsed under the weight of all the sheer talent on it!...this is great...
Wonderful stuff, and I wouldn’t mind getting my hands on a few of those guitars being thrashed there, notably Neil Young’s Old Black, Clapton’s Blackie, and Roger McGuinn’s Rickenbacker 12 string!
Here's the version where you see them playing. I wish I hadn't, Belinda's plastic surgery is tragic :-(

Nice documentary on the Beeb about Bob Marley's time in Britain... https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/m000m7ht/when-bob-marley-came-to-britain On his tour with The Wailers in 1973 he played the tiny Coach House Club behind the Fleming Arms in Southampton and were advertised in The Echo as The Whalers!
oh thanks for the reminder... saw it was on last week (?) and forgot to catch up on I-player. Will do
IMO, yes, and have been continuously since then. It's part of a music myth that there are fixed golden eras. It might be the case for certain people of certain ages that their golden age gets preserved in aspic (unintentional King Crimson reference there), of course, but there is endless creativity and genius in music year on year. Without being around in 50 years time, there's no way of knowing what this year's equivalent are, but can guarantee there'll be a similar lists to that one then. Music, like everything else, moves on at a rate - tastes change, but can guarantee there are classics to someone being born all the time.
