A Watford XI defeated Scunthorpe United 1-0 at Vicarage Road this afternoon, thanks to a first-half strike from Jeremy Ngakia ⚽ https://t.co/qh8tmZXEsc
Already off to a positive start then if he is getting into the box. Someone thinks this was the team. 1 Foster 3 Ngakia 27 Kabasele 15 Cathcart (c) 31 Sierralta 11 Masina 24 Dele-Bashiru 20 Quina 8 Cleverley 12 Sema 18 Gray Guess next week will be more telling as players come back and maybe have more fitness.
Jeremy Ngakia.,Tom Cleverley,Andre Gray,Ken Sema,Luis Suárez all mention in the WFC report, but very sparse information.
That short report is on the official website but not on the app they want us to use! The Scunthorpe twitter page did text updates throughout but no mention of any Watford players. So as the teams haven't been notified to us I can only assume it's intentional to keep team secret to Warnock etc or at least until the squad is forming up.
Yes - that team was basically the one that started training on the first day with the likes of Hughes and probably Chalobah injured. I don't even think the likes of Kiko and Pereyra have been training? Maybe Welbeck was a sub and Sarr has only just come back from Senegal. I guess it's good the young midfielders got a go and the likes of Cathcart, Masina, Cleverly and Kabasele ought to be solid enough to compete at Championship level. The problem is we have all these more talented players at the club whose future are so uncertain. I mean we could see Capoue go, Welbeck rumour has gone quiet and we will get a loan or two in from Udinese.
These early pre season games are always a mix of u23 and some seniors. Mostly working on shape and match fitness, sometimes 11 subs, get some minutes into legs. Next week will be more interesting but until the squad settles down speculation is pointless but fun! Players missing are split into three categories 1. Injured 2. Quarantine due to just returning. 3. Due to leave. Almost certainly (but not certain!) Kiko, Capoue, Doucoure, Perayra are leaving. Others will probably leave of course. The number of CH we now have suggests we will sell one of our experienced ones. The midfield options are currently confusing and if we sell then I expect us to bring in at least one replacement. The forwards? We are stuck with Gray, nobody would be prepared to take him on the money he is on. He may well come good again in the Championship, a level he is proven in.
Spuds to field an under-strength team on Saturday. Getting their excuses in early... http://www.tottenhamblog.com/2020/0...t-12-first-team-players-for-watford-friendly/

I downloaded the app the other week but confused as this story / information isn't showing on it (the app) whilst it is on the official website. There is a q&a story etc but there should be a tab specifically for it surely? Like there are for news, team, interviews, fixtures etc. Am I being thick?
Oh dear . https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/f...layers-speculating-Vladimir-Ivics-future.html Hopefully just rumours or a single player probably not happy he hasn't moved on or told he won't play. Weill he should be told to get on with it.. Other players have been positive about the new manager - Murray /Cleverley. Just hope there isn't a split in the squad which affects morale and unity.
Just the mail online stirring it. Nothing true in this at all. Besides, one would hope the manager has been kicking a few butts and getting them motivated and fit.
Hopefully so - even most of our players would surely be professional enough and have the pride to go out and perform for themselves and the fans rather than predicting when managers might get sacked. And well they liked Pearson apparently and think he wasn't one with a happy go lucky personality either!
Several articles have been released since his appointment in which players state they like him and what he is introducing by way of training. Garbage journalism again trying to create a story.
The team that played today didn't look like one who had issues with the manager so if any comments are made I'd suggest it's someone not wanted or looking to move on.
