I've often watched pre-season and thought "x looks good, y looks good, z was poor" for the entire pre season then x and y are rubbish when the real season starts and z is fantastic!! Never judge from pre season but it's good that he wasn't a "I'm better than this level" performance which, as you say, may be the way some players go

Hopefully he’s half as good as we’ve all convinced ourselves he is with absolutely no evidence to back it up <laugh>

    Ah League One.

this is true, and the reason i tried to avoid making him sound like a real world beater, unfortunatley that one half is all we have to go off...sometimes though, as you rightly say, a player can look quality then have a bad season, others have started bad and turned into a fans fave...time will tell but i do have a good feling about this lad.

I'm taking a stab at it being pronounced Sha-may-lee but who knows.

Seems to have a bit of pedigree and he's a good age.

    Will be more like Zha-my-lee.

Based on other Swiss/Kosovons. Think Xhaka.

I can roll with that. Prefer Benny to Benno as we have our Benno already.

We can’t just call him ‘The Kosovan’, even if that does sound like a cool as **** film baddie.
