Doubtful Madrid will make any big signings this summer. They spent big in the last two years and need to hold back, and sell, so they can go for Mbappe next year. They are also spending big on their stadium renovations I think. On another note, I had an Uber driver at the start of the year who new Mane from his time with us. He met him at one of the mosques in Southampton and because he didn’t know anybody round here when he first signed so they ended up becoming mates. Mane gets him loads of tickets, sends signed shirts to his son etc. My mate who was with me was actually a Liverpool fan and the driver managed to also get him tickets through Mane. The guy seems like a legend. Anyway, apparently Madrid tried for him last summer and offered £400k a week but Mane said he loved it at Anfield too much.
Sounds like a few are desperate to see Liverpool fail this season I don’t think they needed to change much this season. One more year and Klopp will be needing to refresh. They’ll be top 2 this year and only City can beat them depending on how well Pep can do in recovering their previous unbeatability
Not desperate to see them fail. Probably prefer seeing them win the league than either City or Utd. It just wouldn’t be a huge surprise to see them fall away significantly this season, I think it might be hard to sustain the intensity and momentum of their last two seasons. A couple of significant injuries and the wheels could fall off a bit.
That’s very true. It’ll be interesting if one of those got a long-termer, or Allison too, though I wouldn’t wish it on them.
According to the Liverpool Echo: "Liverpool will not let 23-year-old Welsh midfielder Harry Wilson leave on loan again despite interest from Newcastle, Leeds and Southampton."
Biggest piss take of all . You can’t tell me he hasn’t got anything out of this !!! not sure we have heard the end of this ...
I think he will definitely leave one way or another....really doesn’t want to be there. But will city still be interested come next summer?
Have a nice cuppa tea, or as it's that time of day crack open a cold one, pour a glass of wine, mix a G&T whatever. Look away from the screen take a sip/slurp, repeat as required and all will become calm and peacefull.
I think this time he hasn't. He has thown a tantrum like a teenager and hasn't got anything to show for it. He just didn't want a manager who can match his trophies and who has a big enough ego to stand up to him.
There will be a new Barca president in place early next year who is rumoured to want Xavi as manager. Koeman may only get one season. If Xavi did become the manager I could see Messi staying. If City can get him on a free of course they would still be interested. If his contract is up can’t they do a deal with him in January for a move in the summer?
