Have you seen the film Money Pit with Tom Hanks? When they asked the builders when the work would be finished the answer was always "2 weeks", months down the line it was "2 weeks", house ended up mint, worth waiting for. Hopefully this has been worth waiting for.
Thing is Smug mate he said by the start of the season but could be as early as the end of the month people don’t seem to remember the facts just hear what they want[/QUOTE]
I still find it totally bizarre how there was quite a bit of crack about Micky Gray and his backers being involved, then Gray went really quiet (and still is) with some people thinking it must be because an NDA is in place. Now the whole talk of Micky Gray and his backers has dried up and never mentioned, as if he was never interested in the first place.
Niall Quinn told a funny story about Gordon – First home game of the season on a red hot August day, Quinny went down, he wasn’t hurt he just wanted a breather and a drink of water. Gordon came on with the magic sponge, he had a parka jacket on with the hood up and zipped up to the chin. Quinny said to him, are you not hot in that coat? Gordon apparently said something like, I’m boiling but I’m on the sick from the Prison Service and don’t want anyone spotting me.
I was shown plans for a new club badge, more aggressive, and outfits for Sampson & his missus, more aggressive. I was told about involving Sunderland Uni at the AOL and improving the access from the Metro and the other side of the river. It was all there in B&W, if Donald is shown to have messed that all up I really would hate him. Sunderland has had very little sent it's way and deserves better, I like the place and the people.
Seems he's medically sound but just not fit. We can't afford to take the risk of a 2 year deal for someone who can't last the season. BTW I'm sure you noticed my post about Graham said gossip in bold ... ... which is exactly what it is. For confirmation you need https://www.skysports.com/football/news#page-nav
good, as he's exactly what we don't need hopefully the recruitment team get sacked when the new owners take over
Yeah, from the takeover feasibility studies by FPP. They'd planned to involve the Uni, council, local business, etc ... ... if it all comes to nothing it'll be my biggest regret in 50 years of top support.
Danny Graham will still probably sign by the way. They are just not paying an out of contract player to get fit. Once he is, he will likely sign the contract that they have already agreed on.
It seems to have been a delaying tactic in case someone better turned up .... ... but the club is running out of time.
