I don't think he actually is and those numbers tell me as much.. OK he had 1 season of the 5 that was good, but the others aren't great... I think a fit gayle would do just as good over the amount of games he's played.. He will be better if he stays fit and he add some depth.. We need him tbh I just don't think he's going to do well in a side that cant play
So we aren't going to better on our budget. So what do you suggest? Sign nobody and all of us piss and moan, even though it'll achieve nothing
No sorry I think one of our problems is depth.. We need Fraser because with max and miggy we get one injury and we're ****ed.. We need wilson because gayles always injured and Carroll and Joelinton can't play football at all. It'll improve us I just don't expect it to solve the biggest problem which is how **** we are at playing football and how useless our cms are.... All of them. Sorry lads I'm not being a **** it's just what I truelly believe.. Hope I'm wrong
If you know of a striker who will get us playing better football and somehow make our midfield look good, all while costing under £15m, you should probably be a scout
That's my point actually.. Its impossible... Unless we get in a good cm. And a left back and tbh a proper cb that can play its of Little to no consequence which player we lump balls up to with 5 around him
Really not fussed over Wilson - I've been saying bring him in BUT not at the expense of the wee radgey bastard that is wor flag hating, head smacking Matt Ritchie. Yes Matty is getting on and probably not going to get any better but you need leaders like him in the dressing room, barking out instructions at everyone else. He would be a great bit part sub/cup run senior pro for us this year. Wilson in YES but not if Ritchie goes the other way and certainly not if it costs us anything. Looking at those figures above can anyone say they'd be surprised if at 28/29 that was Mitrovic or Armstrongs records? Mitro has scored 9 and 11 in both seasons he's played EPL so bettered Wilsons record in all but one season yet people will still bemoan his lack of goals and his 2 red cards in 3 seasons... Sack of Muto bring in 2 young lads who love the club and grow them learning from AC and Gayle over the next 24 months!

Ritchie's legs have gone, he's done at the top level, at least as a regular starter. Don't care about all the shouting and fistpumping, Lascelles seems to get a game based on just that though
I agree.. He was great at left back in a back 5, but last season I thought he was poor.. As someone that's played the gane at a reasonable level that players that are playing poorly but still shouting it has the opposite effect on the other players...
As I say I'd rather keep him as a sub/cup player - I mean he can cover about 7000 positions if needed for 15-20 mins at the end of games and organise tired minds and legs around him. Not a world beater but a decent option on the bench.
I have to say despite my previous comment I do have concerns about losing him.. We're more than likely in a dog fight from game one and the lad has the stomach for a battle when the chips are down.. If they down tools he goes after them
The only issue I have is, these Bournemouth lads dropped tools and gave up. I don't know if raiding them and grabbing a bunch of them is good for that reason.
