City replaced United and they were much more successful than you....so I wouldn’t be too confident it can’t happen to a club like yours who have just acquired recent success. What he’ll never challenge ever? We’ll see. His PPG average since he arrived extrapolated over a season would have seen us 5 points off 6th. With a squad that had literally no midfield. We won’t be in the mix for top 4 this season imo, but I’d fancy us to challenge for top 6, assuming the mooted signings come off. The aim of the owner has been stated as us to be genuine challengers for CL places and pots by the time we move into our new ground. We’ll see how that pans out.
