I was a student at Uni for 5 years, ok? Get over it. Following your logic I was at Uni for 26 years, as you're counting it til graduation.

You are ruining this place with your constant ****ty replies and boring threads, go away <ok>

What's the most worrying aspect about this whole Euro crisis is the value of the Euro is dropping like a stone... but I'm still only getting €1.10 for every £1 I transfer to cover bills in Malta.

I just think we are being misled with the whole euro thin.

I watched that world debate thing last night and the thing that struck me was that Ireland and Greece are not in trouble because they ****ed up, but its all related to the banks

and at the risk of idiots shouting 'conspiracy theorist' the euro is a massive threat to the US. If like Iran oild gets traded in euros instead of dollars, they are buggered no?

Every currency goes through teething problems. Historians will look back on this period as the time the European nations got together and cemented the Euro as one of the strongest currencies in the world.

If China can pay someone £1 an hr to produce the same thing that in England will cost £6 an hr to manufacture, not even taking account overheads then we will never be able to compete on a level playing field......

This here is the problem faced by most industrialised nations at one point or another.

The more a country develops the more 'rights' and 'comforts' its people get. The 3 day week and the minimum wage are vote winners but in th elong term are not cost effective and ultimately lead to where we are and are headed. Would you rather have £5 an hour and no work or £3 an hour and a job?

I'd employ Eastern Europeans too if I spent years dealing with spoilt British people with a misguided sense of privilege constantly moaning, striking and demanding more money for less work.

This is the thing imo. Its all fine and well whinging about rights and priviliges. However from an employers perspective youre not in it to pander to people. Youre in it to earn money.

For example I buy a lot of sports equipment from abroad now. Simply because its the same or better quality and its cheap. As a consumer these savings make me happy. Yet as an employee I want the highest wage for the lowest output. doesnt add up
