New to this forum. Agree. I think we should just wait and see how we perform against those rival teams. less concerned about new recruits. More about first teamers leaving.. Crucial that Mane should stay. The team is not the same without him and Barcelona is apparently sniffing around. Should they get the 200m they want for Messi, they'll want a big headline grabbing signing.
Brendan Rodgers on the 13/14 campaign: “I’ve got no doubt that if we had Virgil van Dijk in our back four at that point we would have won the league.” [bbc] Didn't he turn down signing VVD from Celtic?
If we lose out on him it's because we didn't want him enough. I don't think it's a case of being dilatory and hanging around so long that someone else steps in. I just don't think transfers work that way. The people in charge aren't fools, they know the risks - so if there's a delay then there are genuine reasons for it. It's always possible that the whole thing is little more than media and agents' talk anyway. We're only speculating as to who we're after and how serious we are about it, and we can't believe most of what we read. Of course fans fear stagnation and want new and exciting things to happen, but I'm sure Klopp and the owners have a plan. We've come up from being a continual supporting act to establish ourselves back amongst the top teams in the world. We need to have faith, they've done rather well so far. Three European finals with one success, one PL title and pipped by a single point the year before. I think they know what they're doing.
How do mate. To what do we owe the honour? Have you migrated here from some other hell-hole? The natives here are OK really. Just avoid the **** known as Diego
