Your making an assumption there. You could be right you could be wrong. Maybe the ITK's have been told to keep quiet or the info has dried up due to a deal being close. But that is me making an assumption. I think were all desperate hoping we finally get some good news.
It's how we are mate, always have been. We're easily excited and get behind any optimistic signs but drop like stones if it goes wrong. One thing is sure, we'll be here when Donald is just a memory.
So he hopes Donald goes and obviously has no faith in him ... ... makes you wonder where he got the info about an impending takeover doesn't it?
We kick off on Saturday, that’s all I’m arsed about for now. What will be will be with this ****-show.
Can’t really blame fans for getting their hopes up when nick barnes said he was confident takeover would be done before season started, micky gray said he had put a consortium together then people where posting on here saying one of the Americans looking to buy us and posting a breakdown of the ownership percentages when it goes through. Then a week later it’s a case of nothing is really agreed or so people are now saying. Seems very similar to last similar to last summer- everyones hopes built up for nothing.
Barnes said by the start of the season when the start of the season was mid-sept. He’s not done much wrong here yet, and won’t have even if it doesn’t come off. He’s reported what he’s been told, whether he’s been used or not.
yes, the relatively steady stream of info has almost completely dried up, to the extent there seems more people saying they’ve heard it’s not happening than those saying it is. I really hope it is - trying to stay optimistic. But it seems before the silence felt golden and all the nuggets suggested there’d be no smoke without fire. Now it doesn’t feel like there’s even any smoke.
He got it from Stewart "Mitty" Donald. A serial liar who has used him to divert attention from further summer savings, a weaker squad and the new normal - struggle in league one.
Are we actually a good buy at £35m? Yes a nice stadium and great training facilities and a academy that just seems to sell! We are basically starting the season with the same squad that was garbage for most of it. New buyers can't look at it as a good thing! I want nothing more than the current owners to leave. Our club is a shambles
People would be buying the potential which is huge. Donald is clinging onto that but he's thrown away three things that are difficult to recover ... ... trust, momentum and the support of the fans. He's now losing money and looking at a third season in L1 where he expected one. Pressure is building, some of which is coming from prospective buyers. Crack and go away Mr Donald.
I don't think we're a massive project, the squad is alright for the league and the board has some decent people on it who seem to know what they're doing. Financially Donald has done a decent job albeit he's taken it as far as he can. If I was buying I wouldn't see it as a train wreck with hypothetical future potential I'd see it as a bargain that needs a couple of million spent here and there to get everything firing on all cylinders.
I agree and banked on going up without any problems in the first season! Didn't happen and last season was even worse! Now we have the salary cap and even if super rich owner come in it's not going to be easy is it? I hate the bloke like but it seems like he's still hanging on by his finger nails!
