How’s the market out there este? Nearly bought a holiday let over there in the mid 2000’s just got twitchy at the amount of concrete going up v amount of potential renters and pulled out. With (unusually for me) impeccable timing ...as it all turned to rat soon after.

suspect the Peterborough chairman would have walked off with a bit of my hard earned

If we do sell Roberts Alioski and Douglas, what price for them? We paid £3.5m, £1.75m and £3m respectively but after being coached by Bielsa even though none of them we regular starters but maybe Alioski could be as he was named in just about every squad.

i think money back on Roberts and Douglas and £5m for Alioski as he has had an impact

Dunno doc... haven’t checked the lengths of their respective contracts but all being equal would Expect a profit on Roberts, to lose on Douglas, and my flabber would be gasted by 5m for alioski

Ali did a job for us and is a likeable character - I’m sure he’d do a job elsewhere too but he’s not going to pull trees up for anyone - at his age I can’t see £5m. Think we’d do well to get half that.

I have been wrong before though!

As an aside from memory I thought we paid 1.5 for Roberts with add ons (maybe the add ons have now materialised) and 3 for Douglas?

I have been wrong before though <laugh>

In todays market? Absolute minimum of 5 million for Alioski. I'd like to think we would recoup the 3 million on Douglas. Roberts is a funny one, when fit he does get goals and assists, he is an established international, can play in midfield, no.10, no.9 or on the wing. He has had some eye catching moments. I think we could get more money for him even as high as 7 million if a couple of clubs were interested.

Don't forget these players now have promotion from the Championship on their CV's. That means something.

    Douglas is 31 this week

last year we got 5.5 for jansson (rumoured to be actually 4m plus add ons) who was in his prime and regarded as one of the champs top defenders.

I may be lowballing Alioski a touch but think these figs are optimistic.

Roberts is the only one worth anything meaningful and his injury record will hold his value back

Might have to loan Douglas out then and hopefully get some of his wages paid.

    Sorry for the late response,
Sales market is booming, people will allways want sun, sea and golf.
Lots of new construction, and these companies do not build if there is not a market.
Buy to let market has obviously been hit by covid, and its a full time job, you have to keep on top of it. These properties do not rent and look after themselves. I have a friend here who has over a dozen properties he holiday lets, he puts in the hours and the graft!
In the last year 2 beachside luxury apartment buildings have been finished near me, all sold, price from 750,000 to a few million a pop!
Glad you dodged a bullet with the peterborough fella, I think he owes a good few quid to a lot of people.
If your every interested in a place give me a shout.

cheers este - suspect my foreign investment days are now behind me... even if I had the cash, mrs milky has put the mockers on any holidays that aren’t reachable by car, since her no kennel policy for the milkypooch.

So I’m left to pondering divorce and window shopping los flamingos resales!
