I have to say I'm getting well pissed off with the tit for tat crap on here today, I dont need it and your mods dont need it. I'm asking you to help us by agreeing to 2 things. 1. We get rid of the No Mags/SAFC Only threads and bring back Siddles Bar. A place for Sunderland fans to talk about anything they want, our own GC thread. 2. We cut out the abuse because TBH it makes the mods role impossible. All I'm asking is you help us to help the board.
Reckon you're onto summit but it'll only work if they reign in on their posts. Otherwise the same lads who got sick of it last time will get sick of it again.
Hoorah! But there will be a crackdown on the abuse front, for all parties not just the mags, Cos like you Syd, ive had enough of this today... Return of the Mags, but a crackdown on abuse sounds fair to me, hope it's agreed upon.
The problem is you will never win, make it too strict and no one posts, make it too lenient and some take the piss and spoil it for most. I do think there should be some consistency though, I have read some appalling posts on here, and they seem to get away with it, only to do the same a couple of nights later, and again get away with it, but others, on other boards do less and get banned. Feeling are a bit touchy atm, as we could do a lot better, and the mags cant do a lot wrong 1: i never went into siddles bar so meh but definately get rid of these mag free posts 2: definately cut it out, delete, warn those that are doing it, as for me it is spoiling this forum big time.
The abuse I'm talking about is from our side, the mods are quite happy to pull up any visitors who cause bother but it makes life hard when hit with look at this. Siddles bar would be for us but anyone could post, at first the usual suspects would to wind up or just be idiots, ignore them, wums and abuse we will delete. Same goes on Chapaz say, many find him a pain in the arse so if you are one of them just ignore him. Its no good saying I dont want them on here but I do want to abuse them if they come, we are all grown up, all know the score and can all find a problem, lets try and find a solution.
Bugger got to agree with the enemy what a crap Friday this is turning into, seriously though syd got my support for this.
The problem is that those guilty of abusive behaviour are definitely not grown up and after a short truce they will return to their former abusive posts.
But by then the rules will be set, we dont want to delete or ban, its not the way it should be but other boards do. Not asking to stop[ arguing and we all lose it but come on boys and girl, everyon knows when things are going to far.
Tbh I think 'Cheik the room' needs to simmer himself right down. I don't care if he's a fellow mag. Comments like "What a complete and utter joke of life you are" are out of order when someone is really trying their best to resolve the situation. Cheik, pack it in son before I give you a byker teacake.
I agree with you both and would add that the crackdown on abuse is towards fans of any club, ours included! I am sick to death of seeing perfectly reasonable posters from any club (yes, mags included) being told to **** off or get back on your own board. IMO this has got to stop and I'm prepared to start deleting such comments. If my fellow members don't like it, I will throw in the towel and let someone else try to sort out this whole sorry mess, because I've had enough of the SAFC board becoming the laughing stock of not606. Many of our members are forgetting one crutial thing, not606 is not exclusively for SAFC fans. It is a public, open forum, designed for fans of all clubs to discuss football or off topic subjects on each others boards. If I wanted to only interact with Sunderland fans, I would not have joined not606, because it is not designed for that purpose. There is no getting away from the fact that our team has got off to a very poor start to the season, which is making some of our fans more sensative to the piss taking and ridicule than they normally would be. The writing was on the wall when we first migrated here from 606, that this forum was going to be a heck of a lot more tasty in terms of piss taking etc than the old BBC site, so I really can't fathom out why people are spitting their dummies out now. You all knew very quickly that this site would be offensive and abusive at times, so what has changed from January? I'll tell you shall I? NOTHING! ....and in case you didn't guess, yes, I am one pissed off Mackem!

I know i've given you a bit of a hard time over the mag free proposal today but fair play on reversing the decision! As you say Syd you should be getting more help from the members of the forum (both SAFC and NUFC). Many of the worst offenders have been around on here for some time and should know better. You mods have a bitch of a job to do and you have my respect for doing it. Hopefully everything will calm down soon and we can get back to the mostly friendly atmosphere that used to exist between the two boards!
Syd, the board has gone downhill no doubt since the exodus here. Personally more as a reader now we have a few good mag posters who talk a lot of sense, have their feet on the ground and want to debate. My dads a mag through and through and a great man at that. I take a person not by the colours but the character as I did as a boxer and it hasn't let me down so far. I think a little less stupidity, thickness, attitude and I'm a hard ****er attitude will settle these boards down again. Hey, I'm 5-6 but have a hell of a record in boxing and bareknuckling and would fight any buggar on here. Do I want to? NO, the same now as I sway against jibes and insulting people. It's my pastime, I enjoy it so why the hell do I want hassle from it? Your a sound man Syd but the Emmerdale crap?...........................FFS please spare us
