How boring, I thought this was going to turn into a proper bitchslapfest, but fair play, you all kissed and made up.
Probably why none of you would be any good at being a politician.

To be fair, Blono calmed matters by convincing Tobes that he’s generally a-political and just right of centre in his outlook.

In his next post he’ll be telling him that the word ‘gullible’’s been removed from the Oxford English Dictionary.

He’ll then ask him to wire him a couple of grand as a deposit on the deal of the century

I know that it's tough to get your head round but not every Conservative is a far right nutjob.
There are a lot of traditional Labour voters who voted Tory this time because Labour were unelectable.

You have to somehow, and I know it's tough, understand that there are some very reasonable minded, well informed, sensible, intelligent people who don't agree with you.
They aren't far right extremists, they just don't think the same way as you.

I accept that you don't agree with me, you can't help it. You will eventually.

Self preservation. I rode my luck on the Prem board so I think I had several cards marked.
Seriously though, we should be able to disagree nicely. It would be boring if we all agreed.

c’mon blono, you have me down as some lefty because I pull you up on a few things. If you weren’t so blinded by the light from boris’ arse you’ll have read the posts where I’ve slagged off Corbyn and labour. I couldn’t stand him or his policies. I just happen to think Johnson and Trump are a pair of lying, charlatan, a-moral, self-serving scumbags. I don’t hate Tories... well granted the old Etonian tossers like Rhys mogg get my back up... but generally I’ve no real beef. Some of my best mates are Tories through and through - Pro-European of course. They’re the intelligent, reasonable and sensible ones you were talking about :emoticon-0105-wink:

listen fella. When you come knocking on my door on Boris’ behalf, I’ll make you a cup of tea and offer you a biscuit.

who knows what side boris will be trying to guide people to though when that happens. He wasn’t a brexiteer until he sniffed a way back to the top table. So he might be rooting for the greens by then if he can see a benefit to himself. Bring your gardening gloves just in case.

That's unlikely, Milky. Where Eric lives they only speak in words of one syllable. This train would be far too much for their sun addled brains to comprehend.

Here’s something you might like to get your own head around. It is no longer a matter of left v right. When it was, I could do apathy with the best of them.

what has reared its unpleasant head in the last 10 years is populism. It’s always been around but either it’s time came (again) or they worked out in a modern age how to sell it better.

populusm could be left or right, it happens in western countries it’s usually been of the right, recently.

and that’s what I am agin, I’ve voted conservative in my life at various times, it’s not conservatism I can’t abide it’s the way the current lot have sold their souls to the populists.
