You have to admit it's an absolute bizarre train of thought <laugh>

I need excuses for Steve Bruce having a bad season. Can I be paid some of the wages then? I've had my eye on a new bike so it would come in handy.

Not really I know how people think.

It's the rafa fan rafa hater thing.

I'm just saying it like it is really.. I don't care about being right or wrong on rafa or Bruce... The reality is in the numbers

What has Rafa got to do with Bruce?

I just judge objectively. I am not a Bruce fan, I am not a Rafa fan. I'd pick neither as manager as they're a pair of boring ****s football wise.

What I will say however is Rafa did a good job in his two seasons, when you consider budgets etc. Bruce did well in his first season.

Both deserve the credit for their work.

Bruce will either have another good season, in which case he'll deserve credit, or he'll have a poor season and he'll deserve criticism.

The only real problem in all this was PIFS official statement

    No longer commercially viable

Mate the “restructure” is Staveley chasing money from someone else, aka starting from scratch. It’s not ever going to be KSA investment. They aren’t interested.

Things have settled down again for fat mike. He’s not likely to be particularly interested in selling again. Think the club will get relegated before he gets to sell it again.

I think he’d take his cash out tomorrow if he could find a genuine buyer at close to the price he wants tbh.

Liquidity is key in a distressed economy and he rather have the cash than Newcastle at the minute imho.

One things for sure and it's that it's at least another season we have to try and stay and of course under Ashley.

I don't think the full implications of this will come to light until we're losing every week and facing relegation because there's always going to be sone hope until the full reality of all this kicks in.

Last time we got this far he said he thought he'd be staying forever, so this has to taken extremely positively him saying for the whole of next season only.

I have to say regardless of how much of a tosser you are I do have a sense of humour.

in the end the company that's chairman that spent half a billion on a painting didn't see newcastle united as being worth paying for.

yeah, the painting that was valued at much less. Took a loss, but didn’t want to lose money on Newcastle.

Charter Jet AHO314F took off from Naples currently over the Channel. Registration D-CGAA. D means its registered out of Germany which was also the same for a jet Ancelotti arrived on.

I 100% believe that Ashley wants to sell. As others have said, there's far more he can do in this economy with £300 million than he'll ever make with Newcastle. Plus, and let's be honest, he can't be bothered with this.

PiF have gone, and they're not coming back. No amount of pressure from the fans will solve the issue with that bid. Stavely may try and broker a new deal but who knows - doesn't come across well that she/PCP haven't issued any statements since the fan pressure.

Mauriss and Belgrava are a waste of time - I dont believe the former ever existed beyond informal conversations, and the latter are a joke. With no offence to Chopra but that's not someone you're going to in order to front your deal.

I can't imagine anyone really taking a chance in this economy. £300 million gets you far more elsewhere at the minute.

Its a shame but that's where we are

I agree with you, but I'm interested to know how you can claim PIF aren't coming back to be a certainty?

I have information from someone significant around the club to the contrary that's all

Whilst I don't have any insider information, I would say two points: 1) There has been nothing publicly said, so as an individual looking from the outside, that's all I have to go with; and 2) In the current climate, it seems an investment that PIF don't need. There are no immediate returns, uncertainty around the state of the game, and the PL approval seems a step too far.

    What's your inside info saying?
