People need to remember that Bielsa and Orta are very specific in what they want when looking at players. This will maybe explain to some on here who maybe sceptical about how prolific Rodrigo is and what he brings
Leeds and Udinese are only €5m apart. Leeds are leaving the offer with them to think about and are looking at other players. Hopefully Pozzeni will blink firstor Orta will be able to do a deal for someone else. I think either way we will see a new No10 within a few days
I think Radz understands the draw of Bielsa and thinks that why not invest heavily now whilst Leeds stock is high. I am not sure how long Blielsa will sign for so buy the bulk of the next 2-3 years of players now and reap the rewards. I imagine we wont see the bulk of the new players (except the CD) until October. Rodrigo de Paul looks a player! There should be scenes if he signs!!
I like the look of Rodrigo. He looks strong and can ride a tackle, shows flashes of Pablo with his nutmegs and mazy runs and also tracks back to defend - and is able to tackle well. Hopefully he'll be able to open up defences and make or take advantage of the spaces that our style of play creates. I think he's going to draw some penalties with those little jinking moves.
var will be pre-programmed for Leeds games - to give no penalties our way, to move various lines on the pitch as appropriate and to deduct 15 points if we’re ahead in any game. At least that’s what it will feel like
there’s been a few breakdowns like this doing the rounds doc. Truth is none of us know what the preferred role for him will be. Clearly bielsa wanted him, so we can rest assured he has a plan, and if he’s not looking for additional fire power then it will be interesting how we line up. I think getting the ball in the onion bag is the one area bielsa himself knows he’s failed to crack so far at Leeds. And before I get lambasted for that, the man himself has lamented regularly at our conversion rates.
I was in glasgow for a couple of days quite a few years ago. My ex was with me and she said i would be amused as we entered the off licence. How i kept a straight face as i was spoken to by a pakistani man with a broad Glasgow accent i will never know. Some things just stick in the old brainbox.
