£16m if they stay up and keep Lemina. Salisu not dependent on these transfers (see statement for why we had to move quickly on shirt sponsor).
Hope Reed does well for Fulham. Think he deserves a chance in the PL and I think he’ll quietly be very good for them. Agree that we should loan Gunn out for the season if Forster is staying. Then it’s ‘just’ if we can get Hoedt and Carrillo off the books and then can we scrape enough coppers together to replace PEH.
Was Lemina a condition for the Reed transfer? If you want Harrison Reed you have to take Lemina too! If so absolutely genius by Saints. If we can get Carillo and Hoedt off the books with permanent transfers and get a defensive midfielder in then it will be a brilliant transfer window. Got to say I do feel sorry for Carillo. Wrong place, wrong time, wrong transfer fee. Not his fault. Has been very professional. Why do Saints never get good South American players. Either talented but bonkers or not good enough.
I believe so. And I also believe the ‘must play 20 games’ part of the option to buy was Fulham’s input.
Probably best for the lad as he is already established in the Fulham team and has the fans with him and it's clear that he is not really in Ralph's plans. Good Luck Harry.
Personally I wish them both luck. Harrison has found someone that loves him. Why would you not want to stick with that? Lemina is clearly a talented footballer but needs special handling to get the best out of him on a regular basis. They've got a great coaching team at Fulham who may just pull it off. Ralph's USP is the ability to develop players skills not getting their heads sorted out.
He's been linked with West Ham, Arsenal and Man Utd. edit and Everton (that I could find) but never any sources given, or quotes that could be attributed to anybody that may be involved...I'd be surprised if its any different with Saints. Shame, because he does look a good fit
Insane passing raise - if not this fella, then hopefully we’ll see strong movement towards a PEH replacement
Never a PEH replacement. Not fit enough to lace his boots. Seriously - not one of those passes was sideways
Yeah. This seems plausible. He’s the right age, plays the right way for the position in our team (good athlete, lots of pressing, NUMBERS) but more expansive passing than PEH and Romeu. Good enough price too because players from the smaller Dutch teams are always cheaper. I still like Ntcham but he’s got more in common with Armstrong than any of the CMs we’ve used under Ralph.
Only 22 and a Captain too very impressive, he has got a magician's wand of a left foot by the look of it.
