In my experience on here you can have discussion and debate without the abuse. And I don’t think I’ve ever been abusive to anyone (I know you said not me so not suggesting you thought I had been) but I’ve disagreed and argued with many, without being unkind or abusive, the way it should be.
He is the worst offender for me.
No logic no debate no discussion. Just dismissal because he’s right.

I’m starting to lean towards this, unfortunately.

It seems he gets close to selling, moves the goal posts and tries to spin it off as if he isn’t to blame.

The FPP collapse last year was the closest we’ll ever get to being shot of him, they even set up a company to transfer shares which was registered at the SOL ffs.

I hope this time it happens but i won’t be convinced until the ink is dry on the final contract.

I think his tenure here is untenable but then you just have to look up the road and Ashley’s reign has been untenable for years and he’s still there, I just hope this week is the week as I really don’t want to start another campaign with the trotters at the helm

I only lurked on RTG mate, but that bloke was a complete arsehole. He even upset Carty on the Cricket Forum. Rarely have I come across anyone as bitter and self opinionated as him. Horrible piece of work.

It's the amount of time and energy that it drains out of you, reading The Rat's posts.

They would just put me in a bad, wound-up mood.

I've been busy this weekend so haven't looked at my messages but there's been some great gossip.

I've not sifted through it but a couple of things stood out because of who sent them ...

... Graham is signing on Tuesday, after the bank holiday, and has already had a medical. (Second hand info but tbf the lad told me about McGeady being sacked off and I posted it well before it happened.)

Second, and from someone who's been right every time, the HMRC are still pursuing Newcastle and have no intention of letting things fade away having put thousands of hours into it.

Just gossip but I'd be happy with both.

(it's not a holiday here so I'm just starting work.)

Thanks. Would love Garbutt and Fraser so I’m hoping those are the one / two that Parkinson may keep a squad place for later in the window if they don’t get fixed up. Someone to keep Wyke out of the team would also be lovely and I guess that would be Graham.

I don't see Graham as much of an upgrade on Wyke. DG goalscoring record is poor and he is basically taking a job near to where he is from to see out his playing days. The only contract I would give him would be a very basic pay as you play deal with his money earned on scoring goals and win bonuses. Personally though I wouldn't touch him with a barge pole.

Should there be another takeover thread started and use this as the transfer thread?

    That's a good, sarcastic, point :emoticon-0148-yes:

We have an 'All transfers' thread that we should probably use for transfers and transfer rumours (started by Catts near the bottom of this page . . . . at the time of writing) :emoticon-0105-wink:

Thanks Smug - this would quite possibly finish the mags off if they got done for something by HMRC and the book well and truly thrown at them, here's hoping <party>
