"Tunes" at a funeral, like "I wish I was in Dixie"?

Seen well over half on that list, some a few times. Jimmy James and the Vagabonds would be the one I would choose to go back and see again if there is ever a time machine handy.Though they would be second if I had seen the 1969 Fleetwood Mac with Peter Green at his peak.

That's a ridiculously impressive list, Sir Ben and I'm not afraid to say I'm envious to the point of jealousy :emoticon-0132-envy:

It’s not my list Kemps. If I had the means to book any if them then, or now, you'd be the first on the guest list ...

I did once enquire about booking acoustic PW for a private function & was quoted £18k. A bit too much of a stretch for me.

I was close, I realised as soon as I re-read it.

Were they any good? Was it the same Vagabonds or two different entities?

Forgive me, it’s been a long 24 hours. I’m tired, fighting off sleep & stopping myself from going to bed.

Great album was Jimmy James and Alan Bown Set Live At The Marquee. A good indication of the time and representative of it. The Mod revivalist don't get it right as far as a lot of the music is concerned. 1966 was great, brilliant music, this country leading the way, City had won Division 3, #ngland had won the World Cup. I have said before, I wondered if life could get any better. And, as time has gone by, the answer is no. That summer in 3 weeks I saw the Small Faces, The Who and Spencer Davies Group, the last one the night England won the World Cup. Brid was only a small place but it was a good place to be 16 at the time.

    Bloody expensive for 1969 tbh.

Although two hundred and fifty notes for The Floyd would be worth it at any epoch. Even during those mad, mad days when a groat was worth a shekel.
