We're not going to scare teams with our goal threat, as it stands.

I don't think we can go up without a couple more creative / dynamic players.

Some real pace and strength up front would be great.

That costs money either in transfer fees wages or both
Don't expect any expenditure in this window in which case it's down to the coaches to do their job and get the best out of what we've have.
That means adjusting team selection and formation to both nullify the opposition threat and maximise our threat.

    Just one question
Do we still scout our next opponents or was this another saving

Sorry got out of bed on the wrong side of bed this morning red wine always gives me a stinking hangover

I think Gooch and Maguire will do ok, Dan Neil looks very promising but It’s a goal scoring striker we need. I just hope Grigg comes good because Wyke won’t be the one going off last season.

Aye, I'm hopeful for Grigg as well this season.

    Looks sharper and more relaxed.

If Wyke starts as the main striker we won't go up, simple as that.

With proper service instead of hoof ball we might see a different Charlie.

Dan Neil, and Grigg to start, maybe the better option, and still hopeful O'Brien and Embleton come good, not keen on the front three we started with yesterday or the midfield two either tbh. something wrong somewhere.

I know Gooch scores now and again, when many of our players do not...however my criticism of him is that he should not play on the wing, he is not that quick and has a poor first touch, hesitates turns into trouble and often falls over, asking for a free kick, not often given! So for me he plays near the middle and scores goals or does assists.

Scowen was maybe our best player til he went off mind. Definite starter for me.

Fair enough, I have liked what I have seen from him so far, but paired with Power I am not too sure, we seem to have more movement when the subs come on but this is an easier time in the game, when players are tiring. So if all is well elsewhere the current ploy of putting fresh legs on after 60 mins is the best we can do. <ok>

actually think Gooch is worth a go as a main striker or playing off Grigg / Graham

I’d like to see our first start be:

    Burge

    Willis
    Wright
    Flanagan / Xhermajli

    O’Nien
    Power
    Scowen
    Hume

    Neil
    Maguire

    Grigg

With Gooch and O’Brien and eventually Embleton and Graham able to come on as attacking options.

I’d still like to see a McGeady replacement. And I think we all know Maddison would be perfect.

I think for now that's my starting 11 apart from Feeney instead of Flanagan.
