I can't see him starting against Liverpool, the game will come too soon for him. I think the players will have a couple of games to prove themselves. I see him as coming off the bench for the first two games for whoever isn't performing. I think when the squad settles down it will be a mixture of playing in place of Bamford or being a 10 or second striker in place of Robert/Pablo
After all these hard to pronounce Spanish, Albanian etc. names, is it a relief to get your tongue around something simple like Koch?
to be fair to Ben he has been working under Bielsa and doing certain things in his role, whereas Potter will want something else. So Ben will need to learn a new way of playing CB to suit the way BHA play
Agree with this... Ben White worked in a Bielsa team at Championship level. He now needs to get used to new players, a new coach, better opposition and new tactics. He will either flourish or fail, if he fails it could just be that he doesn't suit the style of Football Brighton play. Koch might be a huge fail, it is all unknown territory for the players.
I don’t blame anyone, certainly not the player and Brighton had the right. Though they may not have done White any favours, so he might be less than totally happy with them.
Personally I couldn't care less, he isn't a Leeds player and I wish him and his team no fortune and complete failure.
Just goes to show that british clubs over inflate transfer prices causing clubs to shop elsewhere. Why buy from brentford when you can get a proven international opposed to a champuonship unproven one.
Roberts has gone down in the pecking order and he will struggle to get a start. Probably safer to sit him on the bench till we can find a buyer. Douglas may well leave as he is not good enough and if we sign a versatile defender it's Adios Alioski. Keeping those players to sit on the bench will only hinder the progress of the quality u23s already here and the new signings. Absolutley no point in bringing quality in and not bringing them to the first team squad. Maybe by the new year we will have decided who can go and place them on the loan to buy market.
Ristac mentioned Koch may not be a good fit at Leeds but I have to disagree strongly. Bielsa knows what player attributes are needed to play his way. White is an example of having a player watched and Orta was watching him 6 months before Bielsa arrived. A couple of weeks pre season and a flawless season followed. Well Was ha ole of weeks pre season but struggling with hoofball Koch stats are as good and better in all technical areas than White especially heading and assists and goals. He plays footy from the back, his passing is excellent short and long range and he runs at teams and through them
Not usually bothered about international games but will watch Germany v Spain on Thursday with two of our players involved. Be nice to get a look at them.
