Le Tissier, Nicholas and Thompson have done one...

The public sector usually has a code of conduct set by the government that spans all of its branches. Private companies will often have their own code of conduct in line with their own 'company ethics' or whatever. Some companies have piss tests because they don't want their employees doing drugs, even outside work hours. Other companies don't give a **** what their employees take in their own time. If Le Tissier was fired by Sky for his opinions on BLM or COVID-19, it likely violated one of their rules on code of conduct like 'bringing the company into disrepute' or something along those lines, which would've been in the contracts. Andy Gray got the boot years ago for his comments. EA Sports removed Marco van Basten from FIFA 20 and cut any sponsorship deal with him because he said 'Sieg Heil' as a joke on Dutch TV. In private enterprise, contracts vary; in public sector, they're much more uniform.

Just a reminder, that there's currently absolutely no evidence that Le Tissier's views had anything to do with his sacking.

    Agreed.

It's a pastiche - a bit like the Good Old Days used to be. It's not to be taken at face value.
Was it in 2016 when every bastard there was waving an EU flag there to show their allegiances?

Many punters there are foreign, and it's just a tourist tick box event.

Rakes in the shekels big time.

No Ern, not at all. Too many of our traditions are either diluted down or made to disappear completely. We are British, whether the rest of the world likes it or not. The sad thing is that over the decades it’s been made out to be a bad thing that you show any pride in being a Brit. **** it, It’s like when you go to the US and see the Stars and Stripes fluttering away proudly outside the majority of private and commercial properties, if we attempted similar with our national flag I’m absolutely certain that we’d be receiving a cease and desist call from our local PC authority.

Yes, it doesn't blow up very well - is there software to handle that process ? - I still have the original photo (framed somewhere).
Free software naturally - given I'm Yorkshire born with potentially some Scottish blood in me !

    Thanks
Looks like Photoshop may help. I have an old version of it on one of my systems so I'll look into that as a potential solution.
Suppose I could get my lad to use his iPhone to take a snap of my original photograph to improve the pixel density ?
Yet another retirement project to stick in the "manjana" tray :emoticon-0106-cryin

Why spend longer talking about the match than the duration of it itself ?
Do we really need to be told about Body shapes etc.?

Very hard for younger ones to credit after listening to Kenneth Wolstenholme's calm commentary during the World Cup Final but he was accused by fuddy-duddies at the time as being near hysterical when commenting.

I think that there's a need to go back to square one.
