I really hope Smug is right, desperately hope so. I can't go into detail but all I'd say is that I'm not expecting anything imminent at all. If anything happens before the season kicks off I'd be surprised. Don't mean to be a wet blanket and temper any good moods mind, if people want to be positive then far be it for me to prevent it! Just have some pints and hope it all works out.

To be honest I wouldn't say its that far advanced mate.

But, if the people 'at the top' have passed it to the clever people, they trust, then that is a big click forward imo. I've never been involved in high finance but I've observed how it operates. Once the big decision is made they pass it on to the experts who deal with the nuts and bolts.

    It's a real grind mate.

I'm the biggest optimist you'll ever meet but I'm exhausted with how this is progressing tbh.

This is why I've lost interest in all my businesses, it all takes so bloody long.

I've only ever been in prison once in my life, for 3 days in Monaco.

It was a wonderful experience tbf, a cell with a sea view, great food and a TV. I watched the England v Scotland game at Wembley with my feet up there.

A 'lifer' came round, every day, with the library trolley and I chose 'The Naked and the Dead'.

Sadly I was taken to court and released so never got to finish the book ...

... damn that lenient judge <doh>

I'm taking it that way mate, but I'm seriously biased tbf.

Some might think it's 'gone back' to the number crunchers but I think it's gone forward.

Surprised Donald would let go of control of the deal if he wants out so bad, thought he would be extremely hands on till the end

If he's instructed his legal/admin people there's no need to leave his bunker.

From what I've been told these 'meetings' are quite often 'virtual' which is a weird concept for someone of my age. Having said that I had two video clips, and a Skype call, from my 3 year old granddaughter yesterday ...

... with no knowledge of my son!

I might be wrong but i’d imagine it would be on the buyers side. Id have thought he would have sent the top man in to get the broad points of the deal in order and after that delegate it to someone whos time is slightly less important to sort the fine details out.

True, he does seem like he doesn't even want to think about the club, so therefore he lets others do it! however he does want that sweet sweet cash

No one has walked away, but I don't think things are anywhere near as advanced as has been suggested. Agreements on price, final sign offs, I don't think we're there yet. This is from someone I've known for years, who I trust, and who I know gets to hear stuff from the club (not prehab, I've not spoken to him since just after he stopped posting on the thread over the road). Like I say though it's no more credible than what smug is saying, hopefully what I'm hearing is wrong and he's right, but I think we've got a waiting game to play before we can think about a takeover.

We may well be receiving similar info, from two sides of the same coin.

Negotiations are just that, people discussing the basis of various ways to arriving at a mutually agreeable solution.

No problem mate it’s no different to how Smug gets his info. I appreciate anyone that hears decent nibbles and shares them.
However to suit my red n white tinted full blown biased as **** head in the sand love for the useless bastards I’m going for the ‘everything’s looking good’ version. Roll on world domination. :emoticon-0105-wink:
