Bergwijn's had a couple of poor touches in this half. Looks a bit off the pace, which is fair enough at this point of the pre-season.
He's supposed to be a central midfielder, but I don't think we've ever played him there. Looks decent as a right midfielder, to me.
PEH sitting a bit deeper this half, which is where I expect he’ll spend more of his time with us vs pressing.
Hart making a lot of noise. Not sure how much help, "Do a job there, Dennis" is, though. Gazzaniga replaces Hart. Head & Shoulders will be pissed. Bowden replaces Hojbjerg. Did well.
I'm not sure where he fits in. He's got decent pace, his technique's good and his passing is decent, but I don't know what role he can play for us. Seems to do a job wherever he's asked to and he doesn't complain, but is that enough?
Penalty to Reading. Gazzaniga saves well from a set-piece, then the follow up is hit against Carter-Vickers' midriff. 4-1. Keeper gets a hand to it, but it's too powerful to keep out. Don't think that's the right decision, to be honest. Son goes off. Had a very impressive first half, then faded. Scarlet on.
Penalty for Reading after a bit of a melee in the box. Thought CCV was unlucky to handle the ball there, came straight at him and thought it might actually have hit him in the chest instead. Puscas tucks it away, Gazza got a hand to it but not quite enough to keep it out. Good pen, it must be said.
4-1 FT. Is that John O'Shea on Reading's coaching staff? Interesting first half, but a rather dull second one, again. Decent run out though, I guess.
Sessegnon looked good in flashes, if he can be more consistent this is the player we hoped to get last season , white looked good in the first half
Second half was a bit of a drab. I thought Clarke worked really hard though, didn’t see much of the ball but he was tracking back helping out Aurier a lot which I think Jose will have liked. Sess didn’t look too shabby either. Another good run out.
